-I emailed Elizabeth about the cheque pickup because the office will be closed by then (I usually only tell them we'll be here until 5 to avoid confusion and frustration on their part) so hopefully she shows
EDIT: She showed, so that contract is complete and in the finished binder.
-By the time I finished this the office was closing, so I couldn't use the paper cutter, so I hand cut the promo cards
-Debbie just called me. She didn't have time to short list, so tomorrow during/after our management meeting you and I are to sit down and decide who we want to make interviews for, and then i can call them to schedule them during my shift. When she comes back she will look at them herself and decide if we left anyone out that she thinks should get an interview. We have to keep all of the information in sealed envelopes, but theres too much stuff so the IC and SS are both in brown envelopes locked in the employee file cabinet in the office. Once we create a schedule of interviews we will send it all to her house with Karl (again in sealed envelopes) for her to review as soon as she gets back.
-We got an email from Marie in the telecommunications department about a contact for Accenture regarding Bell and the presto system. I guess since Debbie's away she called us for it. I called Debbie who suggested that I ask John McGowan to send an email to Jean Norman about contact information, so I did that.

Tuesday (Athena)
- printed 750 stamp cards, 450 GO and 300 AGC
- can you check our previous orders with underground (white sheets in the compass bill file). Im 90% sure he overcharged me but I have to run and cant check it over and Deb has the bill file right now. I did 300 last time and it was only 12 bucks
- I put some of the stamp cards at the desk for the time being. I cut them lengthwise, if you can cut them into individual cards when you come in thats great (3 sheets / cut or the cutter gets jammed)

This week
All week (Athena)
- Divinity college cheque was delayed, checked everyday and it still wasn't ready, will be ready Monday hopefully
- I cant remember if you were there or not, I think you came in at the end, but Sehar shadowed me on Monday. We went over some of the website stuff and I showed her how to edit things but let her know that the new website would be a lot different if she did get hired lol. I talked to her about the banner pens and I went through her with how to source our promo stuff, design it, compare costs, make contacts, and go about ordering it. Debbie wants that to be left for the new IC's so its all ready to go for the new people that come in but it was a good process to show her I think. Also went over summer duties that I did while I was here and how to come up with new ideas, etc.
- worked on the Transportation promo display, it ended up taking me until Thursday because Debbie suggested we make it more permanent so that they could use it next year. I made the board and made a square add on section where the prizes are listed so that next year if they get different prizes they can print a new sheet and just cover the old one. Thats at the desk covering one of the whiteboards so that we have one saying transportation promo stuff, one saying our sales, and the paper -bulletin board with HSR updates
- Charity ball sales have been doing okay, Al did a promo on Thursday that got a lot of tickets sold so we are at about 308 when I left on Friday
- The Arab something group contacted us about ticket sales to their movie night. I sent them the appropriate info and a copy of the ticket contract and tried to arrange a meeting with them on Monday but they did not get back to me. I'm assuming they will just stop by during our hours on Monday
- There was a mixup with the stressball invoice with Coyote telling us they sent the info but never actually sending it so they were not paid until this week. We aren't being charged extra since it was their fault so its not a problem, but that accounts for 800 bucks of our promo budget. We are still under budget though since when I looked over the budget stuff with marn we factored that in prior to ordering the paper cutter
- Debbie wants us to go ahead and order two banners if we have money left in the budget from Underground. She wants one horizontal one and one vertical one which we can design but she wants them pretty much permanent and to just say compass information centre and thats pretty much it. We can talk more with her about it on Monday once we go over the budget again

-I went down to the desk and set out the cards and stuff at the front counters so that they are easier for CSRs to use and give out and not forget about (there were already 2 filled out in the question mark box!)
-Printed out the monthly reviews I did and put them into the IC manual
-put the stamp card promo on FB and twitter
-the stamp card and scavenger hunt are both now on the commJ
-I made a list of times that work for me for a possible management meeting the week that I get home so you guys can plan for one if needed. Basically before or after either of my shifts on the Wednesday or Thursday
-Emailed that OPIRG guy back. They want to put them in our rack, he's supposed to come by and bring them, and then I told him we could fill out a display of info contract and review the newsletter before bringing them to the desk
EDIT: he brought them and they're good, at the desk. I guess they've done this before so no biggy

-We got the invoice. Marn, Maggie, and Debbie all got copies, and they will pay back Maggie now.
-I've been working on our monthly reviews by going through our commj posts and picking out important things that happened that month. Grr on us for not doing it as we went.
I finished up until December, so we are caught back up! WOO! They are in the appropriate section of the IC manual
-We talked to Debbie about the rest of the meeting
-The space audit was sent to Katie, Debbie asked me to look it over again and confirm with her that it is good.
-I put the stamp cards, stamps and info sheets at the desk, but totally forgot about the commJ post... if I remember I will do it at home.

- Went to figure out what was going on with the invoice for the paper cutter. They sent us an invoice saying we hadn't paid yet but we did. Phoned them and got them to fax over a copy of the completed invoice and I'm just waiting on that now. Once I get it I will go through with Marn to reimburse Maggie since it was her credit card.
EDIT - didnt receive the fax during my shift. Once you do get it please make copies for Debbie, Maggie, and accounting, then bring it to Marn. The PO with the attached old invoice is in our Compass bill folder. If its too difficult I can do it on Monday.

- Put the new tourist pamphlets on display at the desk. Wrote a comm post about it and left a copy up here. I cant find a sheet protector but when I do I will add it into the IC manual. Debbie wants me to add stuff from the tourist manual into our IC manual for additional contact info for the new IC's....we'll see if I get to that

-I got caught up on the meeting stuff, and talked to Debbie to confirm the 14th. She decided that if needed we can do the 16th as well, but she doesn't think there will be that many applicants. She just sent out the email about applying now.
-Edgar and I went and got updated account budget money spent, and we calculated approximate amounts we have left. We're thinking of ideas of things we need to buy, so brainstorm! We are thinking of maybe getting a laminated whiteboard sized poster for constant sales that can hang from one of the whiteboards instead of writing it on all the time. Let me know what you think
-Debbie asked me to compile info from security and the web and stuff and make a big posting for Lost & Found as an FAQ type thing. I did that and posted it to a white board
-Gospel of Luke wants a cheque made instead of the transfer, so I printed her email and attached to the cheque rec so Marn knows why we're doing it that way. Hopefully it's not a problem.
-I printed the scavenger hunt instructions again. The box of flyers and small promo things is ready for it too, the flyers are in that box, I can bring them down on Monday or so. I won't be here Tues and Wednesday when it runs though so if you can keep an eye on it and let whoever is working those two shifts know personally that would be great. The envelopes for each will be dropped off on Tues morning between 9 and 10 so when you come in at 10:30 you can bring it down for the first hunt at 3:30. The issue that happened last time is that we put both sets of envelopes down there and it confused everybody, so maybe leave the Wednesday envelopes aside and bring them down right away when you get here wednesday? (You start at the same time that the hunt starts). Whatever works. Right now it is Clyde on Tuesday and Erin on Wed, so I will give a heads up at the mtg tomorrow, but Owais is trying to switch Erin for that shift.
-I made my schedule for the three weeks after I get back from Sask. I have added them to the mgmt schedule folder under schedules under SS, and Edgar said that you can add yours there too.
-I'm leaving half hour early cause I'm wiped and I wanna get a nap in before I go into clinical.

- I put the potential HSR strike on the website, FB and twitter.
-The IC manual is basically done, it's just a matter of putting it together, which I am working on. We need a copy of the budget and then at the end of our year we can get a to-date copy of the budget updates from Marn to include. I also noticed that we haven't done monthly updates since May... oops. The binder is organized and now it's just a matter of adding a few things, then we don't have to worry about it.
-We got an email about the scavenger hunt again.. pain .. so I will take care of that stuff tomorrow when I am in.
-Also, looked again, and the link on the sticker isn't even the new website... it's just an error page. I thought the error was because it was offline... unless it's still offline???

-Once I started playing with it i couldn't stop. For the thick cardstock we have, you still have to put two through, and the blade length has to be 5. Debbie wanted to keep it in the box, so it wouldn't fit in the drawer with the vinyl roll. It is in the left large cabinet instead.
-Veritas might be swinging by Monday on your shift to bring more tickets, she has your hours.
-I finally decided to just leave the Laurier guy a message since he is impossible to get ahold of (Siobhan confirmed this haha) so hopefully he will give us a call back.
-Parrish emailed back about the pens, but I think it would be better to work with GO and get GO advertising money if possible over Ath&Rec money. Whatev works.
-I changed the temporary greeting on the desk voicemail to state the closure for the staff meeting, it will expire automatically Midnight on the 19th after the meeting.

-I checked out the Laurier U-Desk website, and it is lame and unhelpful, so I called Kyle Walker, but it was lunch hour, so I spend forever trying to find his email address and emailed him asking about the SPC and the cineplex. He then emailed me back to call him, so I did. He didn't answer. So frustrating. I'll keep trying.
-I cut up the rest of the cards
-I think the website on the sticker is the new website? :S So maybe for the week you can have it live with a link to the real website???
-Edgar mentioned you said that Raptors don't do consignment? If you can update me on that that would be great.

-EOD now officially updated ahah
-I made Hours of Operation signs and Shift change signs for the new plastic holders that were still sitting in the bottom drawer, totes forgot we got those.
-I looked at the stickers and realized that the link that's on there still doesn't work.... blllaaaahhhhhhhhhh
-I called the Bulldogs guy about the Winter Classic, but he was out of office so I sent him an email.. it's kind of close to the event on the 21st, but maybe he will have something in the future we can work together on.
-We spent most of today going down because the debit machine on red is messed up. We called global payments, and it completely crashed, so we are having red till people go to green and doing green till as cash only on red. So that was most of my shift.

-IRC cheque here, clup copy made, Michael Carrier emailed. In bottom drawer
-Charity ball presale put onto internal transfer until regular tickets done. Emailed Al for confirmation of account code.
-VOLV numbers settled. Cheque rec don. Debbie is still unsure about whether the numbers work or not, so she has the four returned bands, my completed cheque rec, and the record of ticket sales I wrote on the brown cardboard, so she will look at it and we can probs submit cheque rec tomorrow if she thinks it works.
-I'm kind of worried about the two kinds of stamp cards being the same colour... staff might have trouble not screwing up when giving them one, so maybe I will highlight the top bar of each a different colour? I was gunna message you when you left to make sure they're diff colours too and then I didn't.
-I put the fare increase notice on FB and Tw and ppt and website, and made a desk notice.
-Once again, when I opened the January ppt it was all unhidden and old :S I'm confused why it's happening. Hopefully it works this time...

-VOLV numbers settled. Cheque rec don. Debbie is still unsure about whether the numbers work or not, so she has the four returned bands, my completed cheque rec, and the record of ticket sales I wrote on the brown cardboard, so she will look at it and we can probs submit cheque rec tomorrow if she thinks it works.
-I'm kind of worried about the two kinds of stamp cards being the same colour... staff might have trouble not screwing up when giving them one, so maybe I will highlight the top bar of each a different colour? I was gunna message you when you left to make sure they're diff colours too and then I didn't.
-I put the fare increase notice on FB and Tw and ppt and website, and made a desk notice.
-Once again, when I opened the January ppt it was all unhidden and old :S I'm confused why it's happening. Hopefully it works this time...
Tuesday (Athena)
- took FOREVER at underground. Some girl that worked there decided to stop my printing so that she could print 400 copies of her polar bear pictures....... so I had to wait because they were half printed and then it messed up the paper and ughhh so frustrating. Anyways, it was 16.50 total. I printed ~350 GO stamp cards and 120 GAC cards. We can easily print more if we need to. They are in the loose folder. I will refrain from attempting to cut the cards and butchering them lol
- copied the completed pre-sale contract for al and put it in his mailbox, slid one for deb under her door
- took the website off for real so that you cant see it. I'd rather have it down then saying under construction because i have random pages that say "YES THIS IS WORKING" and "GO AWAY DAMN BORDERS" because I get a little agitated when I edit the site lmao
- took the float sheets that were on the desk down
- the sleeves are on top of the shelf, maybe we can ask the girls at the front to work on them, Debbie keeps suggesting it lol (the stickers are there too)

Mon (krystin)
-First thing Debbie said this morning is that you did that, I laughed hard. Way to go.. this is what happens when we're organized in advance :P I redid our schedule into the management schedule template that Edgar does, and once all 4 of us are filled in we can post that one, hopefully keeping one week up at a time will help avoid confusion.
-Sehar mentioned that at the desk they could see the new website, and so Edgar and I were thinking that on the new website you should throw on a "Site under construction" thing and the link to the old website just so people can see ticket sales and stuff if they come across the new one.
-EOD, floats, and ppt are all updated
-For the EOD, when we stop selling tickets, we need to leave things on it for 2 days so that if tickets were sold pon the last day we sold them, the guys can have it on the EOD when they do the rec for that day. I figured this, but I confirmed it with Karl today, just a heads up. So tomorrow, the Early bird charity ball tickets and the VOLV wristbands need to be taken off.
-I remembered about the coffee promo and had a mini heart attack, but it is the 29th-4th... did we get the sleeves yet? Cause once we get them we can start stickering and bring them down. Hopefully this time the link will work that week :P
-I saw your follow up emails to GO and Aboutown about the promo, we need to get the cards done, do you think Underground would be best? Or can we just print them on card paper.. hmmm... I looked through last year and saw that Debbie Dias was the one they finally got ahold of on this promotion for GO, so I forwarded the email to her as well. I also sent our mailing address to the CC guy cause I don't remember if I responded to his email asking for it or not :S

So i was totally going by the Jan 16th schedule and thought you weren't in today...oops.
- took volv tickets and charity ball tickets, counted and gave debbie the contracts with rough numbers to go through. We can just get the charity ball stuff in order then do the cheque together as one with the regular tickets.
- Debbie gave me four volv wristbands that were returned so I had to adjust the numbers to account for that.
- Still need to submit the paper cutter PO, waiting on John and Maggie to see if we have a company card in
- emailed tourism hamilton to see about any maps we can give out
- updated the website and took down volv stuff. Still needs to be taken off of the powerpoint, float and end of day sheet

Friday (Athena)
- Contacted Al a bunch of times and finally got him to bring the tickets in. Took me forevvvvvvvver to count because there were random serial numbers missing so all the packs started at different numbers and it was a nightmare to say the least. Anyways, we have 950 tickets and at 3:45pm the pre-sale tix were switched over to the regular tickets.
- Changed the float sheet to indicate that the tix are now regular not pre-sale
- Wrote on the contract for Luke that it was confirmed that the cheque is going to Divinity college.
- Started to work on some of the custom made buttons for the website, but didnt get too far because this photoshop is insanely confusing
- Sent out the revised schedule for us for the next 2 weeks
- Printed the space audit form from Deb/Katie and its posted for us to all add stuff to.
- Charity ball contract was adjusted and copies in all the necessary places.
- Updated powerpoint to take down CAD stuff and add c-ball stuff. Updated website too.
- Didn't get around to doing CAD giveaways...oops. Left stuff at the desk for people to give away anyways
- We still had 9 tix to give away for Yuk Yuks so I went through and took out a bunch of the losers. We got a couple more winners after that but people are sucking at asking customers to raffle. I asked Ashley and Muna to really push it so that we can get rid of it. I will leave a note for whoever is working tmrw to continue if there are winners left.
- I'm glad that one of the places emailed us back about the paper machine. Adjusted the PO and talked to Deb and Marn. Just waiting for John to come back on Monday to put through the order.

Thurs (krystin)
-Sehar was in today with me, so I spent 45 mins or so going over stuff with her. She asks good questions. I recommended she spend some time on one of your shifts too, get a bit of everything.
-I emailed Al about Charity Ball tickets, cause I still havent heard from him. He emailed back and said they're coming tomorrow. We've sold 331 as of now, which is a big improvement from the beginning of the week for sure. Hopefully they actually do come in soon, so we can make more money lolll
-I sent my schedule for the next schedule to all of y'all
-I made colour copies of the new GO system's map and put one on the bulletin board. We already had laminated copies of it at each window inside the desk, so there is one colour copy up here still. There is one large poster at the desk still that Debbie requested be put in the GO bulletin, but there really isn't room there for it, so I put a smaller version of it on the middle bulletin board with the systems map. Debbie asked me on my way out to make you a note to let the staff know of the changes in the commj tomorrow and redirect them to the GO binder for more details.

-Going down to do CAW.

-I made out a rough outline of my schedule for the next two weeks, I will just wait to get yours tonight and then I can email it to Deb and the boys. I'm pretty flexible so I'd rather wait to submit mine to work well with yours.
-IRC wrist bands sold out, so I filled out the contract and did the cheque rec. Debbie has them to confirm and sign before submitting them. I put sold out on all the advertising stuff until it's over on Friday.
EDIT: Debbie confirmed and signed, and the cheque rec was submitted to accounting
-Veritas girl came by today. She said they are pretty sure they are going to do through Divinity College, making it a 5% fee, but they have a meeting tomorrow morning to confirm and will let us know. They wanted to do it through C4C to get a cheaper fee obviously, but weren't too keen on the cheque being made out to them. She is also emailing us an FAQ sheet and potentially another jpg. They also downsized the venue, so we are only selling 50, not 200, and they have a few they're selling independently. Did everything for the contract, now out for sale
-Just checked the email, and the one company discontinued the machine because it was defective :( booooo
-No word from Al yet on the new Charity Ball tickets

- Die cutter is sold out :( Emailed them and a bunch of other companies to see how much it will cost, when they will have them in etc.
- Felicia and I looked everywhere for the ballot box lol, she hadn't unlocked the drawer so we didnt see it until I unlocked it and checked it for her. Another winner so far!
- Set up the table with free giveaways. Amazing how many people DONT want free stuff. weird. Anyways, went well.
- Checked voice messages and emails, called Corey back and no answer. I'll try again tomorrow.
- Do you have your schedule yet?
- Printed/Copied/Organized a bunch of GO operations notices from Deb. She has her copies. Don't know how far Ill get but we need to post any relevant info on the LCD boards, website and comm journal for staff/customers. Also need to bring down the physical copies to the front desk in the GO binder.
** EDIT - Didn't get to actually post anything for customers and staff, had to go to the desk to help Felicia. The papers are in the front of the purple binder if you get around to doing them, if not I can do it tomorrow.

Tues
I am in mad pain today, so doing the booth after this is going to suckkkkkk.
-checked emailed.. these Veritas people said they use mostly C4C which is fine, but I told them that if thats the case then we have to sign the cheque off to C4C.. I'm waiting to hear back about if this is ok, otherwise itll be 10% for them. Theyre supposed to be coming by today. They did send the slide though so that is added and good. I added a checklist for once we get tickets and can actually do stuff for this contract
-Called Corey today, but it must have been his lunch or somehting because he didn't answer.
-I added the stamp card to the website as a "coming soon"
-The raffle thing seems to be working well, as I am writing this we have had 3 winners, pretty legit. Alifiyah wasn't doing it though I don't think, but I didn't push it too hard because it was busy and she was frazzled, but Crystaleve was on red doing it there.
-I added to the board, decided to use the welcome day one where it just says what we offer and stuff instead of the game one, cause I don't wanna run around after balls haha. Do whatever you want tomorrow lol
- I just quicktime did the bulletin board before I left yesterday because Debbie mentioned having it done before classes start, so I did it and then took it down and redid it so it looks nice today. Much better.
-Off to give stuff awayyyyy

-Came in today, emailed back Sehar and Maudj with our schedule for next week so they can tell us when they wanna come in.
-answered the few emails we had and took off the out of office auto reply.
-rechanged the voicemail greeting back to normal hours of operation and whatnot.
-updated the website by taking off the closures and holiday hours etc
-I minorly edited the website for a January one
-I made up winning Yuk Yuk packages. Each of the 20 winners gets an envelope, inside the envelope is the Yuk Yuk pass, a congratulations sheet letting them know to call in advance and take notice of expiry date, and our business card. They are now with the winner sheet that the CSR must have filled out for each winner and the box of ballots. I also made info sheets for the CSRs at the desk
-Maudj will be shadowing at some point in your shift on the 12th.. I don't know what time exactly though, so you can email her back if you like.
