dana - thurs/fri

- I started the flip chart, only had time to make one page tho, if you want to make more to prepare for the rest of the year you can, or we can wait and do it as we go (i think it would be good to do it as we go, incase anything changes throughout the year)
- information sheets for OSC combination vouchers are printed and cut. they are sitting on the desk. they are to be handed out with each ticket we sell (whenever we get those tickets)
- i went ahead and changed the "get your presto card free at Compass" sign on the presto board just to prepare for july 1st. It now says "get your preso card at Compass". i also put a notice on the board about the issuance fee.
- for the roller girls: slide show, website, and RMS are all updated. I also made copies of the contract, one is in the binder at the desk, one is in the binder at upstairs, and i put one under debbies door for her.
- i printed out more campus maps for the desk.
- checked all msgs on the phone, im pretty sure i deleted them all (if theres any i forget to delete when u come in next just ignore them, i already replied to them).
- reminder about the little sheets that have the summer tickets listed on them... on the computer i changed the city pass on the document... instead of just "toronto pass" debbie wanted to advertise the other ones, so it lists a few of the other ones and says to check online for the others. Debbie wants to stop advertising just the toronto pass alone and instead, include all the passes in our advertisments. so for now, debbie wants us to write the names of other city passes on the little sheets. i've been writing "new york, boston, chicago, and more online" onto the sheets (below where it says "toronto city pass") before i stick them on the white board outside the desk.Once we run out of the ones we have printed, we can print off the new ones and we wont have to write that on them anymore. i hope this made sense, if not just ask me haha
- i updated the cineplex price on the website

I made a draft of an email I want to sent to our couch and greyhound reps. Before I sent it I want to let you review it. I want to make sure this is something you'd like to do. If theres anything you'd like to change or if you have any input please let me know :) - ps it wont be in italics when I email it to the reps haha

This year we would like to do a couple promotional events for our transportation services and were hoping you would be involved in this.

Our ideas: We were hoping to have some type of event near christmas (and possibly again for reading week) when all the students go home for a few weeks. At the event, we are hoping to raffle off a free trip home for a student. If we cannot think of an appropriate event that would help promote your service, we will do something such as: giving students a card 2-3 weeks in advance with 10-15 boxes on it, each time they purchase a ticket from us for your service they will get a stamp in one of the boxes. When they have a stamp in each box they will be entered for a chance to win a free trip home for christmas or reading week.

ROLLER GIRLS

so Leah came by today and dropped off a new set of tickets and filled out a new contract.

so in the morning when you go upstairs, update the RMS, and make photocopies of the contract, and then you can start selling

also, re-activate the slide on the powerpoint, I put up a poster already - she gave little handouts as well, so you can put those on the ledge

also, she gave two extra tickets (they're the blue ones) - for staff, or for us to raffle off, so do what you want with them, if theyre still there when i come wednesday I'll think of something

Meeting with Tara (residence buildings)
- I met with Tara Walker about residence buildings: she will put us in contact with someone for the magnets for the fridges, and for the assembly (to incorporate us in the assembly). For the LCD screens we have to go through Alex Pongetti at Underground. There is a form that needs to be filled out, then we give him the slides and he puts them up. I contacted Alex about the process. There is a form that needs to be filled out (the form includes all of our media options as well as the run time of the media). I will pick up the form from him today and review it. I will wait for Debbie to review it before I go ahead and fill it out.

Meeting with Jessica (clubs)
- Jess (clubs administrator) is on board to incorporate us in the clubs training. It is in the 3rd week of September. She said she wants to do PowerPoint slides that she can go over with them. Since she will be going over lots of other information with them during the training sessions we are also going to give her handouts with information about Compass and what we can do for them. She will hand these out to all the executives that attend the training sessions since they definitely wont remember everything she says.
- For the PowerPoint slides, I am going to sit with her when they are done and review them with her so she is prepared for any questions, and so that she is comfortable with the information. She will have the handout to help her as well. She said she is very confident that she can answer questions about Compass and the MSU.
- I also asked her if she can send out an email with a Compass flyer it it to every MSU club once per term. The flyer will be set up in a way that when they open the email, the flyer will be open on the page (instead of having it as an attachment that they have to open themselves).

- i email debbie the RMS number for cineplex
- new cineplex and CW SD prices are in the RMS
- new go schedules put out, old ones recycled
- got the form for the residence LCD screens.
- created and printed info sheets to be handed out with OSC vouchers

we havent started charging yet, so i went ahead with the advertising. their brochures are up and ive added slides to our powerpoint. 

i did tell them we might start charging, but we havent figured it out yet. and we cant really do anything till debbie comes back anyways. 

i emailed the roller girls ppl back saying they can drop of their tickets and fill out a new contract. but they never got back to me about it, so idk

also, are we selling tickets for roller girl's next show? I saw their email regarding their confusion with the money they got back from us. what was the problem/was it solved?

i think it would be best if we went in person, just like a 5 minute thing - ask her if they usually have a powerpoint or something, and then we can just stick our slides in there. if not we can bring like a poster or something

so you have meeting with Tara Walker at 10 AM on wedensday in committee room. She's one of the in-charge peeps for residences.

you should talk to her about getting Compass on LCD screens in the residence buildings, the magnets for the fridges in common areas, and if we can come by during welcome be a part of their assembly or something (she probably wont have information for the assemblies - but try and see if you can get some contact information from her, like who we can ask about that and stuff)

new stuff is going on with uniforms, we basically have to design it again because there is a new identity guide, and we have to follow its guidelines.

there is a meeting set up with Dave sometime on wednesday to discuss a new design, me and debbie have already talked about. so only if you dont mind, I can go meet him while you take over the desk for a bit. I'll try to set it for the morning so it isn't too busy.

and the new cineplex price needs to be added to the RMS, ill show you the contract on wed and you can do that upstairs.

dana - wednesday desk

- hsr schedules came in late today, i got through the first box, put them on the wall beside compass and behind the desk. the extras went in the storage room. theres one more box left, its on the counter behind the desk. i started that box but i had a steady flow of customers and couldnt finish it.

- i got a new flip chart, if you want you can hang it up and make some new signs, or i can do it when i come in on Wednesday.

nationals - thanks for putting all 4 games on the RMS. what did the cost end up being? i already have lacrosse on the float sheet (i updated it earlier this week, so wwk and ALS are also on it). just "lacrosse" is on the float sheet, so we can sell for one game at a time.

pens - MSU is what we are going to go with. so mike wooder is your primary contact. he will have the logos and the money for it since he has the authority to sign on behalf of all msu services for this type of promotional thing. his office is the one right beside the kitchen, i suggest seeing him in person in order to get as much done at once.  i think he has done this type of thing in the past so he should have all the logos for the banner already

- I'm gunna start updating the ticket board down here, it needs to be updated with new logos and stuff. and the city pass needs to be fixed on it. I'll let you know how much I go done for it.

Nationals - I've added all four games into RMS, so make sure you select right game when selling. It will be easier to keep track of which date we've been selling for.

so this is what happened in our meeting with parish and lana:

tickets - they wont be printing tickets until July 21st, so if we dont hear from that sometime that week, we should contact them

pens- they wanna make the order soon, so we need to get our design in for the pens like ASAP - tell me who is going to be a part of it and ill start figuring out the design right now, and finish it by the end of this week hopefully

there was other stuff too, but we were kinda just throwing ideas around about cross promotion stuff, so ill keep you updated. but i need to know about the pens know so I can get started

so I got here early this morning and put the lacrosse on the RMS, its not 100% complete tho on the RMS, I ran out of time and couldn't put in the cost. I put the price in ($5.00) but not the cost. when debbie comes in can you ask her what the cost is and put it in?

dana - monday june 17-18

MEETING:
- a meeting has finally been arranged with Lana (football - pens). Parrish cant attend the meeting, you and Debbie will be meeting with Lana only. the meeting is this Wednesday at 10 am while your in the office. I know the pens are my responsibility but she wanted to meet asap, and this Wednesday is the only day one of us is in the office, sorry for putting it on you. Just let me know what was said/decided/etc and I'll do whatever needs to be done when I get back.

MACQUEST
- macquest.. i asked for an extra day (till the 19th) to get back to jacob about what we plan on doing, told him you wont be in the office until then and that id like to finalize our ideas first before telling him. I think we should do a Mac Feud game (like family feud), with questions about compass. debbie made the suggestion. on wednesday when you in, we can come up with the questions/how we wanna do it to make sure it will work before we tell jacob. there are 10-15 kids in each group and we have 10-20 minutes with them, so this game should work great. let me know what you think! if you have other ideas or want to do something else im okay with anything

LACROSSE
- mack dropped off the tickets for each game, they are individual envelopes in the safe with the name of the game&date on each envelope. He also gave us a sheet of paper for each game with the ID# of each ticket on it. For each ticket sold we need to check off the ticket ID number for the ticket on the sheet he gave us, then we need to email him and tell him that we sold that ticket so he can put it through the system (if we dont email him, when the person shows up, they wont be allowed in... kind of the the canada's wonderland group sale stuff).
- I updated the powerpoint and website for the upcoming game on the 29th

SCHEDULES CHANGES/UPDATES
- HSR schedules have changed. I through out the old schedules and I emailed the guy for new ones. i put a notice on the HSR transportation section that shcedules have changed and that updated schedules are available at compass and online
- SCHEDULE CHANGE: Our Hamilton - Guelph run will NOT be operating on the Holiday Monday, July 1st. Regular service operates all other days. I updated the site and powerpoint for this (put the new schedule they sent us on both).
- burlington transit dropped off a big box of new schedules with new permenant changes in them, so i threw out the old ones, the box is in the storage room beside the desk. i put up the new ones.

WAITING ON..
- I pulled the summer passes (ended on the 14th). two month summer pass comes up on june 20th (thursday). it is changed on the RMS as well
- also, the lacrosse tickets need to go on the rms. we want to get those selling asap. i have them in the folder in an envelope along with the paper that needs to be filled out for each ticket sale, they just need to be put on the rms upstairs. the computer on green is locked my pauline so i can't do it down here, and she isn't here to unlock it for me now
- website: scarb transit still isnt up cause pauline hasnt gotten back to me about how to anchor the stuff. tomorrow (wednesday) i'll look in the manual to see if laua and sahar put it in there. if its not there, i'll email her for instructions again before i leave wednesday.

OTHER
- august work schedule has been finalized, there's a copy on the desk for you and I hung up a copy in the back room on the board.
- I emailed the clubs administrator about reaching out to all the MSU clubs - last year they didn't use compass much so we really wanna get them to this year. debbie and i are thinking of trying to be a part of the training days for the clubs, maybe a small presentation explaining what we can do for each club/how our services can help them. debbie also wants us to reach out to different faculty and offices, so she wants us to go around campus one day and ask to drop off some flyers at different places. on a wednesday when i'm in the office i can do this
- I updated the powerpoint for clean air commute, scarb transit. - NOTE: clean air commute needs to be taken off on friday since it ends that day.

Hello!

- updated powerpoint: OSC, Clean Air Commute, Scarb. Transit... Also updated/fixed other slides (ex: dates and typos)
- updated website: OSC. I have to wait for pauline to help me update the transportation page for the scarborough transit. i can't figure out how to use the anchor function that is used on that page, and i want to keep the scarb transit consistent with how the rest of the page is set up.
- i didn't put the clean air commute on our website because its over next week, and they already have a massive page dedicated to the event and in there they mention ppl can pick up their tickets at compass. plus we arent selling them so i didnt think they belonged on our events tickets page. if you disagree with any of this just let me know and i'll put it on our site!
- parrish and lana (football) are SOO hard to get ahold of (dont answer calls, dont reply to emails). so debbie said if neither of us here from them by july we are to let her know and she will talk to ppl who will make them talk to us lol. i'll keep it on my to-do list to continue trying to contact them.
- someone came to register for the clean air thing, she forgot her bracelet, i put it on the shelf on a piece of paper with her name on it (it was the name she left on the registration sheet, she forgot to take it after reading the info i gave her on how to register online)
- i cant think of anything good for macquest. im lame haha. even google didnt help me.

restard presto on green every monday or friday

Hey, I made a note a week or two ago for whoever is working on monday's and friday's to restart the presto machine on green. Vlad came in for the 3rd time to fix it (if its not being used and its not being restarted weekly, it stops working). He wanted me to post another note so here it is haha. I'll put it in the CSR journal too for Laura or anyone else who may work on those days during the summer. thanks :)

Sabbu: uniforms, swag orders, Welcome Day (i got welcome day, so you can do all the SOCs stuff)

Dana: banner pens, SOCs stuff (the powerpoint, flyers, get in contact with the ppl for the bags)

let me know if this is fine by you, we'll work on these things on our own, and just keep the other posted about what's happening. if you want to work on something else or want me to do something just throw it on here too :)

PS. I never got a chance to call Parish - so I'm just gonna let you take care of that all together

a customer might come on friday looking to order specific day tickets for wonderland. they already filled out the form - so if anyone comes looking to order specific day just check to see if its the same person -- just to clarify, the form is filled out (is it in the ticket folder?) and now they simply have to pay for the number of tickets they stated on the form? 

I got a little bored so I decided to get caught up on the emails so that I'm ready for tomorrow. I was wondering if tomorrow I can come down while your on the desk in the morning so we can finalize our MacQuest ideas (deadline is coming up on the 18th, unless you've already handled this). 

I don't know if you wanted to handle the highlight for the IRIS program or not, but if you'd like we can work on it together (I can make a rough, send it to you for critiquing/changing). If you were planning on handling it on your on thats okay too, just offering my help if you'd like. 

Lastly, would you like to handle the Information Fair stuff since it's part of welcome day? I saw you've been handling everything for the information fair and I don't want to take over anything/get in the way of anything you've already put a lot of work into unless you want me to. If you'd like me to do anything just let me know!

wed - desk

a customer came for  2 CW child tickets ($36), she was accidently charged for 2 childrens niagara passes ($38) -- she paid $2 extra for each ticket, if she come back, I've already reversed it in the RMS (reversed the sale from niagara passes to CW passes) but she needs to be reimbursed $2 per ticket if she comes back. thank you

what i did today

-WWW: i updated RMS, put all the contract sheets downstairs so we cam refer to them while we are selling, powerpoint has been updated as well , and I put up the posters downstairs 
- also from now on all the powerpoints can be saved onto the usb key thats marked with the "p" - just so we can keep track of them and then the other usb key can be used for everything else (like saving documents to print underground and stuff)

- Welcome Day: so I talked to Debbie about Welcome Day - i think we are both going to be working, the desk is going to be open and we are going to have some kind of station set up. Debbie was thinking of doing some kind of activity, we do have an idea - it's gonna involve some cross promotional stuff with 1280 and/or Union Market - so once everything has been finalized I'll update you 

- Uniforms: so just to avoid confusion, I'll take responsibility of ordering the uniforms and everything. So if you see anything uniform related in emails, just ignore it. We are paying my friend $50 for the logo. And Debbie suggested getting separate sweater for us managers :):):) which is going to be coming from the budget :):):):)  --- OOMMGG yaaay!! im so excited. i wanted to do this but i didnt know if we should b/c of the budget. can they say manager on them ? :)

-Swag: I think we'll stick to ordering uniforms from battlefield and all our promtional items from teri - she did all that work putting together our quote, and she seems reliable so lets stick with her - let me know if you're not cool with it and we'll talk about it -- 100% agree
*also, since you've been talking to ppl about the banner, you can carry on with it - let me know if you want me to contact everyone. but i think dividing up the work would be more productive. So I'll take uniforms and  you can take care of the banner pens - our other swag stuff we've picked out most of the stuff, its just a matter of placing the order which we'll do by like end of June hopefully -- would you be able to call parrish for me (football dude) and ask him who he got the pens from in china (company etc) and talk to him about ordering together in order to get both of us a better deal. i have a feeling that phone call will be long-ish and Im starting to get a steady amount of customers
- okay so i say we forget getting the quote from imprint - and stick with what teri has give us -- I agree :)
- and for the banner pen - have you asked teri if they do banner pens or thought about where we are going to get them from - i wanna give her a list of the things we want and decide on numbers -- Ask Terri about the pens, also try calling the parrish (football guy) again and ask him for the contact of where he gets his. Remeber he said he gets 10,000 from china? debbie and I are thinking that he probably gets a really good/cheap deal if he's getting that many. He never replied to our last email so go ahead and call him.
- uniforms: its nice we have lady sizes from battlefield so i say we stick with battlefield for our uniforms and hopefully you've told cody that we do have lady sizes now so our CSRs will pick accordingly and then we can place that order -- I told him that you'd email him today with a definite answer about the uniforms, because I didn't want to make any decisions about the uniforms without you. Now that we've decided on this, email him and let him know :)
- bike trails: i dont see any kind of reply from the guy, so if you wanna me text me his number or something i can call him again - just tell me what you said last time and if you left a message for him or anything -- google city of hamilton, then ask them to connect you with Daryl Bender. His extension is 2066. when I called i didn't get the option to put in the direct ext number so I had to ask to be transfered to him. I simply left him a message saying my nam/where im calling from, told him that i was told he was the person who if he would be able to drop off more
- for gift cards: I'm gonna call phoenix and that number you put down for the other gift cards - you havent had any contact with them right? -- call phenoix for sure, 1280 we have a meeting with, and can you check if matt from union market ever replied, i cant remember if he did or not, if he didn't give him a call. I forget what other numbers i put down... call karry brothers for sure tho!

I'll answer your other questions now on the other post :)

ps i need to know what happened to that black and red chechered bag, security has called me and that guy has come back multiple times. thank youu!

- been trying to contact krystin at Karry Brothers about setting up a gift card program but shes always out of her office. her number is (86) - 905 565 7566 ext. 4911.
- I've called city of hamilton and ask for Daryl Bender - he provides the hamilton bike routes/trails brocheurs and we are running really low on those. If you happen to hear back from him please ask him if he is able to send up/drop off more. He dropped them off last year, hopefully he still handles this. If not, ask him if he knows who we should contact. Thanks :)
