Friday - Laura
- Cheque rec Humanities Formal (they already picked up their tickets)
- Cooking for a change picked up their tickets and none of those were sold so i did the rec for that
- What I have been doing is photocopying the vendor copy of the contract and paper clipping it to the completed cheque rec so we can easily attach it to the cheque when we get that from accounting
- Debbie didn't have a copy of monster mash contract so I got that for her but there is supposed to be a waiver attached and she can't find it so can you get that for her
- Updated the website and took off all the old events and same with the powerpoint (just needs to be taken to the desk)
- Did the rec for both of the club events
- Picked up the cheque for Ath and Rec and Unity and they are both in the cupboard with their contract. I e-mailed both the vendors as well
- Dealt with a bunch of the stuff for Saturday
- Worked on more of the transit stuff on the website but I'm having an issue with the font size and what not - basically Debbie wants it smaller with less space but its next to impossible to get the website to do it so I've been focusing on changing the content mostly and we can work on the layout maybe together over the exam break
- Good luck on exams!!

- You left the contract out for some event at viva but you haven't told me anything about it so I didn't know what to do with it so I left that for you
- I made a sign with the Mac Miller concert information could you post it at the desk when you go down?
- As well as line signs for Saturday need to be made if you have time for that

Monday - Laura
- Added a few things for the IC manual that we can add (mostly about changing greetings on the phone what what not because as of right now there is nothing to do with the phones in it)
- Talked to Debbie about that concert this Saturday and I'm working 11am-5pm with ticket sales happening from noon until 4pm. We are running a cash only for those tickets with a limit of 2 per person. Campus Events is going to keep the line to the side and let people come up to the window 5 at a time. This means we need a separate line with a huge sign to inform regular customers to line up as per usual so if you have any ideas on that let me know!
- I updated the website and facebook to say the last day to purchase HECFI tickets is this Wednesday
- The raptors guy got back to us so I left that email for you to answer when you talk to Debbie about it
- I put up the MFNSA poster and reminded the staff about that in the comm journal
- All the dinner and a show tickets are out on green and red so those should be good for tomorrow (I'll pull them off green at 2:30 before I go

Thursday - Laura
- I spent a lot of time on the website, updating it to make sure all the links work, transportation information is up to date, fixed the lost and found page so all the information is accurate based on the security board downstairs.
- Debbie wasn't in today so I didn't have a chance to talk to her about the unity rec and figure out what the deal is with the internal transfer (because apparently that's what we do for them?) but I did email Anne back so hopefully she will be able to clear that up for me so I can do that when I work tomorrow
- Helped Karl with some of the evals because it was super slow otherwise
- Did some social media just for kicks and that was the shift haha

- Hours update on webpage, LCD and signs (need to go on facebook)
- Craig Cardiff is done except social media but we need to wait for the corrected poster
- Fixed LCD thing
- Unity rec cannot be submitted until Anne gets back to me on who to make the cheque out to so don't worry about that I'll get to it hopefully tomorrow
- If you could contact those people about sponsorship that would be great!

Monday - Laura
Things I did:
- Called Trevor Trotman and left a message - didn't hear back so you may have to keep harassing him about the new tickets
- Rec for smiling over sickness
- Rec for Mitchell Bowl
- Rec for unity
- Emailed MFNSA about extending drive
- Updated the float sheet, website, and float sheet to get rid of old tickets
- Added staff meeting closure to website and powerpoint
- Started to work on the transit portion of the website but it was down (it was the end of the shift so I didn't worry too much about it, hopefully its back up soon)

Friday - Laura
So I started to do Unity until I realized I wasn't sure how Debbie wanted to do it with the missing tickets and such. They might end up balancing but I'm not really sure so I thought we could get that done on Monday maybe with the help of Debbie (or at least just some direction on how to do it).
I worked on the transit part of the website but it definitely will still need a lot more work. I ended up running up and down to the desk a million times with random things so I didn't get as much done as I would have liked. I believe Shave for a Cure is done so rec can be done for that one on Monday (if we even got any) and I never ended up hearing back from Trevor about bulldogs tickets so lets hope we hear from him on Monday.

Friday Nov 16 - Sehar
What I did:
- E-mailed people. (Unity, Bulldogs, Parrish)
- Got ticket pick up forms ready for unity and football
- filled in ending numbers for unity/ deleted the unused ones from RMS
- Stocked bulldogs and unity tickets
- Worked on website: F&Q page, Lost and Found page
- Promo - Fb and Twitter
- Advocacy wants to borrow our table on Tuesday I said ok.
- There was a confusion with the Unity tickets being sold out - Read the e-mails from Anne, and I made a Comm journal post about it.
Need to do:
- Unity is coming to pick up tickets at 3
- start doing rec for Unity after the tickets are picked up
- I called parrish to ask his what time he is coming he said he is figuring that out and will call back.. he hasn't yet. So you might want to check msgs when you get in.
- Check up on the Bull dogs tickets, trevor said that he might be able to get more tickets to us today and will e-mail back to let us know. We only had like 38 left on my shift! We asked for 500 this time.

I did the boards today so that's all finished up. Did some checking up on the website and changed somethings. Give me a list of what you've got around to fixing and on my shift I will make an update list of what we still have to update. Make sure the unity tickets are out for today and Saturday. More than half our bulldogs tickets have been sold (over 100 of the 200 we got on November 6th). If you could email Trevor and let him now so we can try and get more tickets ASAP and in a larger quantity like maybe 500. I can always do that on my shift though that's fine. Finally I wanted to know how you were planning on splitting the tickets for the Steve aokii concert because I know we have 20 from campus events.

Tuesday - Laura
Bonjour!
So first thing - Debbie wants to talk to you about the Monster Mash rec, she hasn't received a copy of the cheque rec or the waiver so she is looking for that. Also, tickets in the cupboard can you talk to the organizers and figure out what we are doing with the tickets because otherwise they need to be thrown out.
Poppy box got returned. I added some things to the website, a lost and found tab so check that out. I put up the stuff on the poppy side of the board but we also need to do the side that is getting home for the holidays. I didn't have much time but I started the letters so if you can maybe do the transit stuff and then I was thinking we could have a little blurb on how to get to the airport (I believe there is now a direct GO bus from square one).
Also, I talked to cineplex (it took far more of my time then I wish it did). Basically what she said was there was no way that it would say it was scanned without it actually being scanned so she thinks the guy is just trying to scam the system. None the less I emailed her the bar code and she is going to look into some information like when the ticket was first scanned and from there we can figure out what to do about the wording of the e-mail. Oh and I mailed the screemers guy his cheque. That's it (=

Hokay sooooo (here is zee earth ...) <-- weird reference that I'm hoping maybe you got?
Anyways back to my point. So I did everything with the Humanities formal, they apparently gave the contract to someone at the desk and that clearly got lost so I re-did the contract for them but they are supposed to be e-mail us their FAQ's that we can post when we get that. Also, website I updated the exam hours and put Yuk-Yuks on the events page because apparently we didn't have them on it? Check it and make sure you like it though. Otherwise, ya not too much going on. Keep notifying Parrish on our ticket counts but as of right now we have an extra 250 that we recieved this afternoon and they aren't sold out yet.

HELLO!!
Lol this is the first time I am using this. Alright I basically did everything Mitchell Cup on my shift. As well as dealt with Cineplex ticket problems. I also contacted Andrew at Screemers asking him if he wanted to pick up the cheque or he wants us to mail it with the tickets.
Also, if you can take care of the humanity formal tickets - they are in the locked cabinet. Edgar says the contract and info sheet was e-mailed to the IC account but I wasn't able to find that, so that might be something you will have to look into. And look at the unity tickets that were picked up on Friday. Karl wasn't done rec on my shift so I wasn't able to check it.
I would also check the Mitchell cup tickets on your shift and call Parrish and ask him if he can bring more over, since right now (10:55) we sold 220/500 already.

Wednesday (Athena)
Wednesday (Athena)
- sorry I changed my hours today, I was wiped, I wrote my last two exams back to back yesterday ugh. but now im done!!!!! wooo!
- discussed back and forth with Dave, Debbie wants me to have a meeting with him and Sandro to discuss everything, but she wants me to do it alone so kinda awkward lol since I basically have to tell him we arent willing to pay for his original work...
- contacted Jess about the possible compass, UM promo for may at mac, we'll see if shes up for it.
- Designed new flyers that will go to conference services with the "all about compass" on one side and our summer specials on the other. Had to re-arrange everything and Debbie suggested doing them more pamphlet-sized (like tall and skinny, one half of a regular sized sheet of paper) so that they could display them in their pamphlet holders. Finding out if they actually have pamphlet holders or if they will just go on the desk.
- Contacted Krystin from Wonderland to find out more about the online ticket sales. They arent ready yet.
- Emailed back HSR and Burlington transit with info about what numbers we need for schedules and our mailing address.
- I saw your little spring designs, very cute! I was also working on a summer promo display using bristol board so that works well!
- put the flyers for summer hours at the desk
- added my website input and forwarded that to Deb

Wednesday (krystin)
-Sehar and Laura got emails back from HSR and BT that the boys forwarded us. I responded to their emails for them.
-I added May at Mac hours to the website as debbie asked
-I will change the internal and external greeting before I go or something, because they start tomorrow so I don't want people call and hear the wrong times.
-did rec for the fellas
-made some spring-y things on the e craft for the desk. I needed to bid it farewell
-Debbie just told me you're coming in at 1:30, and I had a whole schpeel we had to go over, so instead I printed the emails and stuff for you. Basically, we have to get the P.O. and stuff done today while you are in so that it goes through this years' budget. Debbie and I adjusted some things on the banners and sent them to Dave. We changed General Inquiries (after trying to shuffle it around trying to make it work) to just inquiries on the tall banner, and Debbie wants the size of the wide banner to be at least 5ftx3ft so that it can be hung and it is large enough. We sent these drafts to Dave, and he asked what we needed him for since it looked done, so I explained that we needed it done properly and good quality, to which he replied that it was all low res (duh) and he needs to recreate it all, which he is working on now hopefully. I used the prices you got from him earlier and drafted up an approximate with tax total of $452 and sent it to him in email to verify that it was somewhat accurate. He said he will have to add AT LEAST one more hour of design work, which will be $45 more before taxes each additional hour, and that the banner prices change throughout time, but $7 a sq foot was a good estimate. Debbie is NOT impressed with him trying to charge more design time, so she said that you guys will go down later and argue against it with them, since the first hour they charged us was something we could have done in 10 minutes. So as we stand now, we are waiting for the proofs and we are wanting to write up a P.O. as a "work in progress" type thing to get it in this budget (Debbie wants it in the promotions budget line, even though it will likely take us a bit over budget)
-Since we only need post it flags and it is a waste of a P.O., I left the note for the girls to order them with whatever else they need to order. That way they can get what they want.

Tuesday (krystin)
-Did counts for CW, Yuk Yuks, and Umbrellas
-Dave should be letting us know any day now when the posters are ready. When they are, Debbie mentioned that we should put up CW posters in some of the same places as we go around (but it will likely not get done until Laura and Sehar get started)
-I put the summer hours on the ppt, website, and made a poster to switch out with the old ones after tomorrow.
-We got these year end transition meeting things that Debbie wants us to fill out by May 1, so I did that.
-I emailed Dave again to confirm pricing and get some kind of feedback about what I emailed him on yesterday (him fixing up the one we sent him). Debbie wants the P.O. written out ASAP so I went over confirming some pricing details. I priced it out for both of them at about $452 with tax. We will see what he says. If no response by tomorrow, one of us will have to go down and talk to him and/or Leslie about it. I would go today but I have to leave right at 1

Monday (krystin)
-did rec for Edgar and Karl again
-Emailed Amy Duffy for Niagara to let them know that we have sent them their cheque and it is in the mail, and to ask about ordering the adventure passes for the summer.
-There is a fundraiser going on downstairs, so I tidied the desk a bit, checked on all of the boards, took down old posters, and asked Erin to fill the side cabinets.
-I send Dave the drafted banners, and he basically said "ok, looks good, what do you need from me?" so I explained that we need him to tidy it up and fix up spots that look blurry etc. and that we don't know what to do next.. so helpful. I also approved the bus pass poster and asked them to print 30 again.
-Debbie gave me a WagJag thing to do a board like Karl did yesterday.. I warned Erin that people will now start asking for the WagJag deal lol

friday (krystin)
-Dave missed the paragraph 2011 again and Debbie caught that Wild Waterworks was wrong (my bad), so I emailed him back again. We got it back, looks good to me, but I sent it back to Debbie for her approval.
-I emailed Cindy's person about the scavenger hunt just letting them know that Compass wants to participate again this year
-I added the roller girls ticket to the float and eod, advertised it on fb and tw
-Debbie wanted to know stratus of the banner, we looked at it and she had me move around some things (the icon order, the general inquiries looked crammed so I put it on top for her to see (the other General Inquiries layer is just hidden, still there), and moved the background up a bit so that Information Centre was on all blue, not any white through it from the background. She wants the Information Centre more bolded when Dave does it. She is wondering if we might want to choose a different directional pole for that logo.
-We need tabs, so I flagged the page if you wanna pick which ones you think are best. I liked the ones last time but they went through too fast and I felt bad using them cause theyre so fancy and so few. I like the post-it standard, on the go flags. Let me know and I can start a G&T P.O. and we can add anything else we think we need.

Wednesday (krystin)
-did rec again today, went a bit more smoothly, only minor Coach issues, but it still took up a good hour
-We got the proof back from Dave but he didn't change ANYTHING on the bus pass half... and misspelled Available, so I looked it over with Debbie (she likes the concept and look of it though) and I emailed him back with things that need to be changed.
-Niagara Winter Passes have been pulled, Debbie reconciled it and put in for their cheque to pay them, I took it off of all of our stuff
-Advertised the beginning of HSR summer bus passes on fb and tw
-did investigatory work for Debbie

Tuesday (krystin)
-I set my alarm for 8:15 because I started at 9 today, and I woke up at 9:52... awesome, so I got here at 10:15 and worked until 12:15 instead. I saw you talked to the Pangaea guy so I was fortunate that he's not an early riser and didn't get here until 10:30 haha, so he picked up those tickets.
-I wrestled with the Coach printer again, it kept getting jammed.. made for an eventful rec completion. So rec took me well over an hour by the time I got the deposit in to Marn. If you can do it tomorrow that would be cool, otherwise I don't mind doing it when I get in. I've got the hang of it by now.
-I think the CW promo is getting people attracted to our facebook page.. I woke up to emails for 5 people liking Compass on facebook overnight lol.
-Dianne responded to your email, but I'm not sure exactly what you and Debbie wanted to bring them, so I left that since she said to avoid coming to the office from noon to 1, and it is now quarter to noon lol.
-I made an email to send to everyone who is working the desk over the rest of exam period to go over wonderland and hsr passes. The hope is that direct emails will make them read it and spoon feed them a little bit.

Friday (Athena)
Wonderland:
HSR:
Wonderland:
- did comm post
- programmed RMS
- did website
- Facebook/Twitter
- got the posters approved at MSU underground so they dont get ripped down. Put some up around stud centre, others are going around campus so we can do that on Monday (main places where there are summer courses, BSB, JHE, TSH, CNH...)
- put ppt down at the desk
- messaged Dianne from conference service about posting wonderland stuff and some compass info at their office and their registration sites (keyes and commons)
HSR:
- programmed RMS
- updated website
- altered the graphic from last year so that we had some sort of image to put on the website
- comm post
- desk copies of HSR and wonderland at the desk in the folder
Friday the 13thhh (krystin)
-Canada's Wonderland time! If you can finish all of the promotional stuff for CW and get it ready, Debbie wants it all out on sale Monday. I got the powerpoint done and the posters are all here. Debbie had a range of places she wants them. I added it to the float sheet and eod. Still needs to be on website and FB/Tw, and commJ. I wanted to put it in RMS, but Debbie is still working with the contract, so I don't have remit prices etc yet. I called Krystin and she said the online gate price online is wrong, and it is correct on the ppt and posters that we have (went up to 57.99 instead of 56.99). She is also working on getting us online ticket sales and will get contracts and details for that to Debbie by early next week.
-Until we hear back from Dave, we will do our own advertising for the HSR pass. She wants them out starting on Wednesday. I have not yet done advertising for it, but it is on the eod and float.
-I can't help but laugh that despite everything you bought for the ecraft you were under the minimum purchase limit... lols

Thursday (krystin)
-I talked to Debbie about what we want for the HSR poster this year, and she decided she wants to split it into a top and bottom half, top being blue and yellow and the HSR summer pass stuff, and the bottom being completely different colours about the summer attraction passes
-we asked Pauline about how this whole website thing will affect our website address for putting it on posters and promo stuff, and she said she THINKS that msumcmaster.ca/compass will be best to use. I am floored that this is happening again... apparently end of August.
-We noticed that Ontario Place is still on the summer flyers, which is no longer open, so I took it off of the computer version.
-I sent Dave an email with what we were thinking for this poster and let him know that we haven't answered his banner email because we have to talk to Laura and Sehar still
Check out the email for details on what we told him.
-We got a voicemail complaint from a man named Aziz. He said that the night before the R2P soccer tournament, an emergency of some sort happened and the team was unable to get to Hamilton for the tournament. He stressed that the boys were really excited about it and they were bummed they could not go, but it was out of their control. He said they tried to contact the organizers that night and the next day to no avail, and when they recently got in contact with them, he was told that it was their responsibility and they could not give any of his money back for registration. I called him and let him know that we are not responsible for refunds and that that was up to the organizer, and he understood that but asked that we try to do something for him or at least tell them how to make things like this not happen in the future. He said he is happy at least getting something back because he knows it is for charity, but he does not think that it is fair that they do not have something in place for this. He asked that we talk to them and then call him back. I called Claire but she did not answer her phone, so I sent her an email. I just want to see what she has to say about it, whether it says something in the package about refunds, how to avoid this in the future, and what she thinks should be done to rectify it. I added a quick sentence to the contract and IC manual so that next year they know this was an issue and to discuss refunds etc. with the organizer next year. His phone number is 905-898-5877, but I asked Claire to call him back.
- Amanda finally emailed us back for the soc sci cheque and ticket pick up, she said she will be by today. MacReation picked up theirs yesterday, so once Amanda picks this one up we only have internal transfers and tickets left for pick up for Pangaea and QSCC formal.

Wednesday (krystin)
-I did the rec for the first bit, noone told me that the Coach printer stops working sometimes, so I kept trying to print and then Debbie told me to just turn it on then off again and it printed them all... whoops!
-Cindy emailed us about the scavenger hunt dates for next year, so I printed out the email to give to Laura and Sehar. Laura works at the desk today with Megan O so I'm gunna go down as I am leaving and chat for a bit. I emailed Cindy back just letting her know that we are training them again on the 19th and we will talk to them about it then, but that I do not see any reason why they would not want to do it again next yearrr.
-Debbie had me all SSd up looking for transactions in the RMS and printing things all shift
-she started to get information from Colin about the summer bus pass so this week we will be starting promotion stuff for that and CW. I pulled all of our old posters for it, Colin Kerr has agreed for them to pay for printing again. I called the registrar's office to ask when they start releasing summer student card stickers and they already have, so Debbie and I picked the sales dates for the passes.
-For the poster, Debbie wants them to look more Compass-ey as well as HSR-ey, so we can ask Dave to add his touches. I made a few scribbles on a photocopy of the old one and we can go from there.
-There was a voicemail from Trudy with Memories Wholesale just saying that she called and emailed us about the password to the website and wants to know if we have any questions about their e craft products. The number she left is 888-465-1935

Tuesday (krystin)
So I forgot to publish yesterday and lost it, boo.Nothing notable
-I made a blurb and sent it back to Kara for the tour guide summer training, basically just outlining the kinds of things on our flyer (adding that we are hopefully expecting PRESTO next year)
-I THINK I know how to do the rec that Debbie needs done those days, I just don't know what CC to print out, so I looked through their server folders and found a print out for how to rec greyhound and coach and printed it out to leave with the email from Debbie on the whiteboard. I'm le dumb is all.
-Ann sent someone by to pick up Framed tickets finally. Edgar said he came and accused us of why it took so long (we should have shipped them, we emailed her while she was away etc.) but last emails we sent she kept saying "be by tomorrow!" so whatevs. Those are gone.
-I tidied up our desk area a bit, it was getting raunchy
-Edgar asked us to not give them so many fives when we give change from now on because they don't have enough 20s to do deposit so he keeps getting all the fives back and having to submit them to accounting as the daily deposit, which is why we never have any in the safe
-I updated the EOD
-A lady came by to ask if she could put up a poster for some president's thing happening at 1:30. She seemed to think I dictated the whole student centre and it took forever to get her to understand that we only have control over the desk and that MUSC admin controls the rest of the student centre. I took it and told her it is not something we do but that if I find space I will consider it, but I never got downstairs before the event to even look, so there was no point.
-I made a 2012-2013 section for the incomings. I added the powerpoints to the Transition folder you compiled and moved it into the new IC section.
-I went down to the desk and cleared old posters, took out old contracts from the binders, tidied a bit, filled the side cabinets, and found that 90s baby cheque and contract from last year that they left at the desk for the guy to come pick up. It's a cheque for only 9 bucks so thats probably why the guy never came by. I gave it to Debbie because it was from February 2011 so it would be stale dated, so she is going to give it to accounting and deal with it.
-another person used the suggestion tab and said to get presto, lol.

Wednesday (krystin)
-I printed 40 double sided copies of the flyer on coloured paper and left it with a master sheet in our mailbox as Debbie requested in case the ones at the desk run out while we are not here.
-I made a table of our hours and sent it to Debbie and ourselves
-Owais did not know how to do a Greyhound refund, so I did that with him
-I gathered magnets, notebooks, and pens for Sehar and Laura to give out with the handouts per Debbie's request. I left a note so they know what to take. I put the handouts and contracts in a paper clipped bundle each so it looks more organized. I also attached a flyer to each and got them 30 of each: magnet, pens, notepad.
-I made YET another post on fb and tw about hours

Wednesday (Athena)
- Discussed with Debbie some of the changes for the banners that needed to be made. We agreed that I should just work on it to come up with some possible designs for the banners and then we can send them to either Dave or Michelle to have their design team draw up a final copy. We have until the end of April to get them in.
- Got the paperwork ready for Sehar and Laura, printed out all the copies and everything
- Sehar came by so we went around and delivered our easter eggs! ....NOT wearing the bunny ears..And Karl told Debs about the playboy comment and Debbie said "doesn't that give you the heebie jeebies, im sure he was imagining all sorts of things....ew" ..AWKS.
- made another poster for the desk hours because more people were waiting when I came in today

Tuesday (krystin)
-Laura ok'd the speech and banner. Sehar thinks the banner is too plain, I agree. I talked to Debbie about it, and these are some of the fixes we brainstormed:
TALL BANNER:
-make Information Centre bigger (to the O in Compass)
-take out "Located in" and have it just say MUSC Marketplace
-add compass.msumcmaster.ca
-make a change to the font, the Arial looks too bold, like it is yelling
-add some stuff INSTEAD of the text (Debbie suggested the icons - transportation, ticket sales etc - from the website)
TABLE BANNER:
-again make Information Centre bigger
-take out "Located in" and have it just say MUSC Marketplace
-add compass.msumcmaster.ca
-add icons along the bottom similarly to the other banner, but without the words (the train, ticket stub etc)
After we talked about it I did a (VERY) rough sketch thing of what we were thinking on paint. They are saved on the desktop to give some kind of poorly done idea of what she wants. Let me know your input.
-Did the SCSN cheque rec and submitted it. They will mail it out from accounting so we don't have to worry about picking it up or anything. The contract is filed in finished binder, and she told me to shred the tickets.
-Maggie sent an email about that charge to her credit card. I guess she talked to Debbie about it and everything because she did not know what it was for. I mentioned it to Marn, and she reminded Maggie about the gift and all is well.
-They did not come by to get those cheques yet.
-I advertised the passes we have left on fb and twitter.
-Wooder's email on the PTM stuff had Debbie's wheels turnin, so we are going to send them with magnets, pens, and a notepad for everyone in addition to the handout, a copy of the contract, and whatever else we might find helpful. Still waiting to hear back from Sehar about the handout, so we can do all the copies and stuff tomorrow.
-I was thinking we should go around and do the Easter thing on Thursday since we are both in at the same time.
-I added city pass to both new slideshows (hopefully I remember to bring it down before I go)
-I made notices for the desk of new hours as per Debbie

Monday (krystin)
-took a look at the speech and added one clarification under the last point about advertising sales at compass before we know. Sent it to Debbie to review. She sent it back with changes.
-I also took a look at the info sheet and added facebook, twitter, and the website, hoping that they will push the social media stuff again this year. I sent the edited speech and the handout to Sehar and Laura to look at and asked that they respond by tomorrow sometime.
We need 25 copies of the handout when we get it back from them
-Unaiza and Raven both did not come when they said they would today.
-took SCSN off of everything except for the EOD so that they can do rec
-Laura from SCSN emailed us to ask if we can make the cheque out to Red Door Coffeehouse and have it mailed to them instead of an internal transfer that they would then have to send to them anyways. Debbie approved this, so once she confirms numbers we will be making out the cheque to red door and putting Please mail to: and then the address on their email. I emailed her back to confirm and asked if she wanted to pick up the tickets or dispose of them.
-I looked down at Travel Cuts and made our list. Sent it to Debbie
-Dave sent proofs for the banners. I forwarded to Debbie and the gals to get some input and saved it on the desktop

Monday (Athena)
- Debbie and Mike talked about having Mike send over some more information about what to expect for the PTM meeting for the new IC's but we still hadn't received an email from Mike so I went and talked to him. Turns out he misunderstood - he wanted you and I to provide all the material for Sehar and Laura (as well as their speech) since we are the experienced managers and really know what any of the problems/area of concern/rules are for PTM's that we've worked with in the past, which makes sense. I will draw up an outline for a speech for Laura and Sehar, and I emailed them and Debbie re. the outline plus the modified handout and new contract.
- Contacted SCSN about account code for the internal transfer. Debbie is checking the numbers for the contract, but you forgot to put in the number of tickets we received so hopefully this doesn't get messed up!
- Ernest picked up CASS cheque and his copy of the contract
- Debbie wanted us to go take a look at the display stuff that Travelcuts uses (hanging display signs, wall displays, etc.) and to list what we think would be helpful for compass in case they decide to sell that stuff. I made an email to debbie and drafted it so that you can add stuff. If there is nothing to add then can you send it Deb please?
- I had to work the desk for megan h for 45 mins, so I did that and had to take all the change from green and exchange it with bills from red so that we can deposit the green till stuff to marn with no coin.
- transitioned all the leftover green tickets to red till since green isnt open anymore.
- Saved the speech outline on the desktop. Can you go over it then forward it to Debbie to see if she wants to add/change anything? It then needs to be emailed to Laura and Sehar so that they can go over it and make any changes to that AND to the handout PRIOR to their meeting on Thurs. Once Laura and Sehar add their input and approve it, we can print out 27 copies for the PTM meeting.

I HATE THIS UPDATTTEEEEE
-Really though... this blogger is annoying, wtf.
-I went to check accounting again and asked for the CASS cheque. He looked and said no but I made him look in the MSU clubs folder because we submitted it two weeks ago. Alas, he found it, and I emailed CASS to have them come get it.
-Raven confirmed the account code, good pestering skills. Gave it to Marn to complete. Raven will be coming by to get their copy of the contract and transfer and tickets on Monday
-I made hours for next week because I realized I hadn't yet and I needed to give something to all of the people I emailed to pick up their cheques. I emailed them to SS/Debbie/you and CCd the IC account so you can see it.
EDIT: and then I talked to you and laughed at myself... made the rest of the exam period hours for myself
-Laura from SCSN emailed us a snippy email about ticket update cause I guess she emailed last night and got impatient that we didn't answer right away. Anywho, I gave her an update.
-I think I forgot yesterday to tell you I added to the website that Greyhound prices jumped this week. Also FB, twit.
-put up the April board

Thursday/Friday (Athena)
- I hate this newly updated blogger thing, it automatically updated when I logged in today!
- Emailed Raven again about the internal transfer, I might try calling
- Checked for CASS cheque AGAIN, still not ready
- Had claire come and pick up the right to play stuff yesterday, she said she is looking forward to working with compass in the future :) Also introduced her to Sehar.
- After you left I just discussed with Laura and Sehar some other things we can go over when we shadow them. I reminded them that although they have their preferred tasks already (Laura wants to do contracts, Sehar wants to do promos and displays and stuff) they need to make sure they BOTH do all of the tasks in case the other person isnt here, and to just make sure they stay on the same page with stuff. I also reminded Sehar that she needs to keep in mind that Laura is at a disadvantage in not knowing the inner workings of Compass but they are still equal in decision making and Sehar cannot make decisions about the logo without input from all of the other managers.
- I LOL'd at Owais' note on my award lmao....and all the notes about my hair.....guess nobody knows me! :( ..........at least they think I have nice hair lmao
- Working on the summer manual right now.
- Contacted Karen re ordering more pamphlets for CityPass to prepare for summer
- put up the roller derby poster from Shawna yesterday
- went on a mission with edgar to put the lasagna in the oven...which didnt fit in the oven, so we had to go to 1280 and ask them...awkkksssss
- on weds I finalized the spring powerpoint and the special easter version of the spring powerpoint. Easter one down at the desk now, after the easter weekend we can just switch it to the spring one.
- on weds i also worked on the easter giveaway things we are doing. We need to see when we want to start giving them out and we can have laura and sehar do a shift of giving them out too. Basically we have easter baskets with plastic eggs and inside of each is that double-sided flyer on summer stuff and a chocolate egg. Debbie wants us to really hit areas NOT in the student centre and to get faculty and staff, so she suggested walking around the different buildings and going into offices lol
- updated fb and twitter with the hours change occurring on monday

Tuesday (krystin)
-Debbie didn't have a copy of the SCSN contract, made her one
-Shawna from the Derby Girls emailed us and wants to work with us again this summer. I sent her the contract and asked her when she wants to meet or what she wants to do.
- I emailed Laura to double check that we invited her to the staff meeting on Thurs. She says yes to both.
-Debbie emailed us about training and hours for April, so I made a list and sent what we have done with Laura and Sehar and what is left for us to do this year. We have our group meeting with them Thursday, so we can decide then if more time would be beneficial, Debbie suggested maybe sitting down with them to do their part of the yearplan and to emphasize planning ahead (promos, etc.). There are Willy Dog vouchers for them both in the top drawer to give them.
-We need to make a list of what we have to wrap up for the year. I started to brainstorm, but any help would be great. This is what I gave to Debbie so far:
· *organize files on computer/server, creating folders and transition folders for incoming management
· *Get the ball rolling for summer consignment tickets
· *Banners – in the midst of talking prices & design with Dave from the Underground (discussing with
incoming ICs)
incoming ICs)
· *Emailing ticket organizers (ie roller girls) to get summer tickets initiated
· *Summer HSR bus pass?
-Debbie needed a full copy of EVERYTHING in our IC manual (flyers, templates, everything) as a back up in case something bad happens to the original. It took forever to photocopy, hole punch, and organize it (Like 1.5 hours forever). She is impressed with it though. She suggested putting your summer one in the back under another tab, so once you are done with that if you can make two copies, one for our copy, one for Debbie's.
-The front desk gave us our own copy of the 2012 Grand & Toy catalogue, in the plastic shelving
-Ryan came by to pick up the cheque and tickets
-I updated the March board downstairs to take down old ticket sales and put up two of the summer ticket flyers to fill space. Later this week I will put up the April board, but it is April showers so not yet applicable lol
-The CASS girl came to pick up her cheque, but we never emailed Ernest or anything, she did not know they had to wait for us to get the cheque. She took and signed for the tickets, and we added her email address under Ernest's on the ticket contract to email them both when the cheque is ready. I let her know that it will likely be Friday.

Monday (krystin)
-pulled QSCC. Started a cheque rec then realized they are probably internal, so I spent half hour looking through their binders from last year to see what they did because Debbie was busy, and I realized how much better I like our system of contracts lol. Anywho, I was right and it is internal, I sent an email to Raven to confirm the account # they used last year. I started the internal transfer and it is with the contract to be changed or submitted as necessary when we get a response.
-took old stuff off of the website, ppt, eod, float
-picked up HECFI cheque. I emailed him to come in tomorrow while I am in.
-Michael Wooder brought us tshirts for the 601 for staff to wear until the event Wednesday afternoon. I left a commJ post and put them in the back office for them to wear at the desk.
-Dave emailed us back with some prices and details to review.

Thurs (kryst)
-emailed Raven, their event is tomorrow, so I was laughing at your trying to let them sell on Saturday. I let them know that you are out of here at 4:30 so if we are pulling tickets for them it must be before 4:15 that they need to come in.
-Pulled CASS tickets and did the rec for it.
-Debbie wants our next training to be a group one, not separate, and we need to discuss:
-Mac at Mac: booth, balloons, speaking with Candy (huikw@mcmaster.ca) about tours and Compass
info being used etc., and setting up a meeting (see email)
-PTM training April 5, only ICs this year, presentation, preparing handout, etc.
-Debbie sent the hours of operation for exams/easter, summer, may at Mac, and closures through the summer, so I printed a copy and we should make hidden slides to accommodate for them when we need them

Tuesday (krystin)
Let's try this again!
-Pauline told me the old email is now officially kaput... she looked worried I would be mad, but I reassured her it wasnt the worst thing ever and that we were almost all done the new one anyways.
-Called the food and drink festival guy. He was at MUSC doing a radio interview and they suggested bringing us flyers because mac catering would be there. He left his information with me, and Laura came as I was about to do the display of information contract.
Laura and I...
-filled out the display of information contract and discussed the issues of people dropping stuff off at the desk.
-finished the cheque rec for HECFI that you started and gave to Debbie. You forgot to tax the commission, so I showed Laura that and we submitted it.
-pulled the rest of the right to play stuff. She then went through the entire process of pulling tickets and filling out the contract to getting debbie to check it to writing the cheque rec and submitting it to accounting (Y). I emailed Claire about picking up the extra waivers, registration sheets, and filled contract. One team did not sign the sheet, so I let her know that too but assured her that ten teams did register according to official rec numbers.
-finished the fake contract that we started with them. Laura asked me to go over some of the RMS and server stuff too since Sehar did a lot of that hands on stuff last time. She seems to catch on quick.
-She had to scoot off to class so we didn't get a chance to plan another day, so I figure we can wait and see how Sehar's goes tomorrow and go from there to see what has to be done.
-I advertised the new website on FB and Tw since it is now official
-Debbie came in and then we realized that Edgar looks like the American Idol guy, so we were killing ourselves laughing with Pauline and Marn as we made fun pictures lol

Monday (krystin)
-Sandra came by for the Invisible Children cheque in between our shifts today and asked the desk staff if we can just leave the cheque and stuff there for her to get whenever, but I emailed both of them to let them know that we prefer not to do that for accountability sake and gave Sandra our hours for this week. We're in quite a bit so hopefully something there works for her.
-The Food & Drink festival vouchers I talked to Debbie about. She wants me to track down whoever is reponsible and get them to fill out a contract to put them at the desk. I'm a lookin'... I emailed the student liaison Jamie about it and checked the website for contact information. I emailed the info email address on the website for any help they can provide.
-I updated the powerpoint and brought it to the desk
-I updated the flyers with Debbie's requests and saved it under the same name on the server. I printed a bunch on our bright paper, but I wasn't sure if you had other plans for it. They are now at the desk.
-I advertised that today is the last day of registration for the soccer tourny on FB and Twitter. We stop selling at close today. Right after I did that we sold the rest of the team packages we had (go figure) so I called Claire and she decided to just cap the team registration at 10 because she can't get packaged here on time and keep selling individual until close. I had Cody cross off the remaining spots on the sign up sheet, brought the sign up sheet up here and put in with contract, and took it off the RMS so people have no option to sell it at all. She sounded excited that we've sold that many.
ISSUE: There were only 9 spots filled out, but 10 sold, so someone did not have the team register (FML). I looked at movement reports and since one spot was not initialed, and one is missing, I deduced that it was either Crystaleve or Erin who did not have the team sign it... I don't quite know what repercussions this might have, but I'm hoping it is not a HUGE deal. I put the form and the printed movement sheet together with the contract
-CASS sent a gal to pick up 50 tickets for the fashion show because they're not selling well and I guess they're looking to potentially downsize or do giveaways or something. Ticket pick up contract signed, and marked on our contract.

Monday (Athena)
- I noticed at the desk that the red door tickets were not in the same folder flap as the sheet where they fill out any allergies or veg requests, so I just moved those over. We just have to make sure in the future the tickets are with the sign up sheet because Danielle was really confused. Also, in our comm journal posts and on the float sheet and everything we've been calling it red door or SCSN but it was programmed into the RMS as earth hour, so I changed it to include red door too so the CSR's know what they're looking for
- I checked your comm post cuz I remember you saying something about the Weeknd afterparty cheque not going to HECFI, but I couldnt find anything besides your initial post. Contacted Ryan and he said the cheque to him would be easier, but we could do HECFI too. We are doing HECFI as per Deb's request.
- submitted hecfi cheque to deb for review
- Counted the tickets for HECFI and took down the advertising (including the March bulletin board post about The Weeknd)
- Talked to Debbie about grabbing stuff from Dollarama - I'll go tonight, it was way too busy to go on Friday like I planned.
- Also, with SCSN I went to go double check the contract (and attach a copy of the veg/allergies sheet to the contract) and I noticed there are no ticket counts filled in or signed for. I read your comm post and you said edgar took the tickets and you double checked them...just make sure you write and sign for them on the contract cuz i looked like a retard when debbie asked me how many tickets we received and I didnt know lol
- old website still down, pooop. Redirected the new one in the meantime.
- debbie asked me to make new flyers for the summer stuff but to include everything we did last summer, so I made new ones. Also talked to her about the easter basket stuff, so Ill go tonight.

Friday (Athena)
Friday (Athena)
- took care of the ordering for the broshure things. Put it through the office supplies budget, so we still have $1064 in advertising and approx $624 in office supplies (that's with the current order). waiting to get the tracking info, it will arrive to marn
- took out the ecraft and tried to print on vinyl since the web says thats how you make window decals. I still need to try to find static cling paper, cuz the vinyl we have are like actual stickers...its like a sticky whiteboard? Anyways I made a design with the facebook logo and "compass information centre" so ppl can search us, and I will attach these to the window at the desk...we'll see how it looks
- updated the new website with citypass
- changed ink cartridge at the desk
- our grand and toy stuff came in, woooo

-Put the closure on website, powerpoint (also added regular hours of operation cause we lost them in transition from november to december haha), put notices at each till, on the whiteboard, and set the temporary greeting to expire at midnight after the meeting.
-I really didn't do much else... updated ppt at the desk, that's about it... where did these two hours go?
Off to drain blood from my body for donation before loading it with booze tomorrow. Have a good St.Pattys day!
