Friday Dec 16 and Wed Dec 21 (Athena)

- Friday I sat down with Debbie to work on the website and she gave me very specific ideas of what she wanted. Worked on that (Pauline wasnt here) and managed to make some of the changes she suggested. This will be an ongoing process lol

- Talked with Marn, Debbie and John about purchasing the e-craft machine. Debbie basically said we should handle it all, its all up to us lol. We decided not to put through the order until Jan 2nd when you and Deb are back because it will get rejected if the MSU office is closed and since its expensive we obviously dont want it getting lost. There are two websites that sell the machine and I spoke to John about which is more trustworthy and we agreed on one of the websites. I will email both you and debbie with the info (you have to log into my account on the website to order the machine). I have the PO partially filled out and it is with Debbie. John said he would fill in the remaining vendor info (website ordering stuff) because we dont know if we will have the company card in yet or whether it will have to be John's card we use. Debbie wants you to fill in this info with him to make sure its what we want lol.

- Made a CAW banner for the website and powerpoint.


- Don't know if Framed got their cheque, emailed Anne to confirm. Checked with accounting and it was deposited directly in their account.

- Checked with Al and C.ball tickets will continue to be sold for 30 on Jan 3rd, then switch over to the 40 dollar tickets on Jan 4th (he will bring the different 40$ tickets early Jan 3rd). The advertising will need to be changed for this once you're back.

- We've had some issues while I was gone that people were purchasing VOLV tickets instead of IRC. See edgar's email, its pretty much been handled.

- Vertias forum people came to talk to me on Friday. I asked her what group she was from and it wasnt really clear because she just kept saying that she was only handling one of the nights. I emailed her again to confirm so that we can give her the admin fee she will be paying.

- Emailed IRC to see when we should stop ticket sales. A customer emailed us asking if they will be able to buy the irc wristbands on jan 3rd and I wasnt sure. Emailed Michael to ask whether we are just going to keep selling till sold out or if this is it. I'm assuming they will keep selling until sold out since it doesnt really make sense to stop early, but thats what it says on the contract so I thought id double check.

wednesday (krystin)

-boards for February and April done, working on March as we speak, but I don't really have specific ideas, so it might be a nice time to just advertise what tickets we're selling at that time? I dunno, I'm spent.

-Al came by to chat, and he said we can keep on selling the early bird until we get the new tickets. He is thinking it will be the 3rd or 4th. They should look different he says. He also brought candy canes advertising ticket sales that I put at the desk for customers to take.

-I then worked on condensing boxes. The bottle openers are now all out of plastic and in the box of clips. The uniforms are now in the giant box on top of the old uniforms.

-I made a commjournal post on CAW and I want to make a winner! sheet for people who win to get with the ticket when they win because Debbie asked us to make it clear clear that they expire on Feb 27, so I made winner envelopes and we can put one ticket and one info sheet in each to give to the customer. They can then have the customer sign a winner sheet to make sure staff don't just take them or whatever. I can finish that, make a staff info sheet, and decorate when I come in on the 2nd to decorate. If you get a chance and want to post on the website about CAW that would be awesome, I never got to it.

tuesday (krystin)

-IRC brought wrist bands for their frost week events. See the contract and FAQ if you have any questions. That stuff is done and they are on sale

-I redid the stamp cards from last year and saved them under PPTs and Promo on the server. I printed copies that are in the loose folder for review.

-G&T came in today, but the calculators and tape dispensers are on back order, so they will be coming in hopefully soon

-Just finished February board, now on to March and April

Monday (Krystin)

-Debbie contacted security again about the pilot project for lost and found. Once we know more, she wants us to make a posting on the cork board downstairs and two copies for the tills outlining procedure for L&F

-She also discussed with me a little bit about the website layout and taking out  alot of the words and using more pictures and links instead. She said she is talking to you about this more specifically on Friday

- Alifiya had me at the desk because nothing was working when she tried to sell anything. It turned out to be because when she changed the paper for the receipt she left the empty roll in there and put the new one on top, so it screwed up the whole system. *face palm*

-January board is finito. February is half way done (I'm doing the top part lover based and the bottom half focused on the promo. CC is giving us two round trip tickets from TO to Montreal for the promo :) 

-I am right on track to finish the boards all before I go. I'm going back to St.Catharines Thursday morning.

Friday (krystin)

-The IC manual is now updated as of today, we can now just add and take away as we need throughout the year.
-Mukhtar picked up his transfer copy, Yule ball told me to throw out their tickets, and L.I.B. wants to come get the cheque next week so we have to email her when we will be here.
-Debbie had me put together a welcome package for Erin when she comes to be trained.
-We are working on eliminating the number of boxes we have in the office, so we have to move old and new uniform stuff into one big box and will start to work on that from here on out.
-Debbie suggetsed a tshirt cross-promo with UM or 1280 where we both give out old tshirts, and if either place sees someone wearing a Compass or UM shirt they get some kind of discount? I dunno, somehting to think about

-did the VOLV stuff today to get them out
-Caught Al in the office and dumped off all of his copies of internal transfers and his old tickets.
-Debbie needed copies of all kinds of finished cheque recs that she didn't get copies of so I did that
-I emailed Parrish, Life is Beautiful, and MIX again about cheque pick up. Parrish got his. and Muhktar about his copy of the murder mystery transfer. Also emailed Yule Ball cause we still have their tickets.
-Debbie asked me to email Al telling him we have VOLV now and to hurry and get in any frost week stuff he has coming soon
-and then the IC manual for a tiny bit

Wednesday (krystin)

-We got 20 yuk yuk passes for CAW! I made photocopies for 20 winning tickets and a bunch of losing. We can discuss whether we want to put all 20 in at the beginning and risk them being claimed all at once or we can put in 5 each day and risk having leftovers. I think the former would be better, who cares if they go all at once, people don't have to know they're all gone when they pick a loser haha. I coloured the winners to make them pop and cut them out, working on cutting out the losers. There is an extra copy of each in the loose folder in case we need to make more copies of either. I made way too many copies of losing ones though. I looked at how many transactions were made in the first week of September, since it will be similar, and there were 2200 something, but I made over 6000 losing ballots lol, so I only cut half of them, not even.
-We got another email from Financial Aid asking to post a slide, but it is pure advertising for them, so Debbie said no. We need to evaluate our regulations for advertising on our slideshow in January.
-I redid the internal and external voicemail greetings for both our mailbox and the desk mailbox. Ours is good for the rest of the year, but the desk one has holiday hours of operation, so we have to redo it when we come back after the break.
-Sebastian brought in the frost week wristbands and took the old wristbands and the halloween tickets.

-The banner looks great, excellentay

-When we have people their cheques we're supposed to be giving them a copy of the contract too, so they have records of what was sold, what fee was taken off etc. So I made a copy for M.I.X. Still yet to show.

-The transition binder is starting to get filled, haha I started to update the text from last year, but I want to section it off like Katie and Mike did instead of how they did it last year.

Last week!

Friday and Monday (Athena)
- Changed the colours and design of the CAD banner and printed it at Underground. Costed a whopping 3 bucks. Its in the loose folder in paper protectors so that we can keep it for next year as per Debbies instructions.

- Added approximate hours to some of the IC stuff. Its really rough, I have no clue how long it will take, Debbie will talk to us about it tomorrow at lunch she says.

- Contacted Jess to say yes re. coffee cup promo. Filled out PO, filed it, gave a copy to Jess. 

- I reorganized the purchase order binder according to the category its under and the vendor so that we can more easily keep track of stuff. I have a feeling a bunch of them are in the locked cupboard in the hallway though and need to be photocopied and placed in our binder to make it complete.

- CANFAR and MFNSA both picked up their cheques. Both contracts are signed and in the previous contract binder. We are still waiting for MFNSA to bring the gift certificate which they said they will bring by on thursday. email to confirm later this week. Yule ball ppz came to get theirs too.

- Still waiting for MIX to come by and get their cheque, apparently they are coming at 4pm.

- Contacted the bulldogs as per debs instructions (see newspaper article re. game in january)

- Things got messed up with Framed. Because marn had a credit in the McMaster University account, the cheque was not printed. I contacted Anne with no reply yet to see what account code she wants us to apply it to so that a new cheque can be printed ASAP, otherwise we have to go speak to marn about what the process is now. She said something about printing the cheque for less, then having the school of the arts come and debit the rest or something - she said she'll explain in full if they choose to keep it addressed to mac.

- Received a customer complaint; forwarded it to the SS and Debbie. Will post in the comm journal when I am at the desk after I confirm that the bus doesn't come Sunday!

- Herry needs me to cover for him from 4:20-5:20. I'm supposed to work till 5, so I might need you to cover the last little bit, but you'll obviously be here so we can talk about that!

- Printed out a bunch of stuff for the IC manual to use as examples of what we did for next year's ICs. I printed and labelled (in the black IC manual binder at the far right of the shelf) the Summer powerpoint, fall powerpoint and december powerpoints. Printed the G-admast's I sent out for Summer and halloween specials. Also printed the yuk yuk promo ballots as an example.

December 1 (krystin)

-I took a look at both ppts and tried to make a compromise, but the time it was taking was frustrating. From far away Karl and I were having trouble reading the busy slides on yours, they were pretty but it was taking forever trying to fix them to be easy to read, so we decided on mine with a few additions from yours. I renamed it "DECEMBERCompromise" haha It's at the desk now, hope that's ok.

-Framed cheque rec is in and good to go. Debbie just had to add the HST part of the cheque rec before I could submit it. Any cheque rec for anyone who is not MSU, you need to split the commission into HST

-I saw Jess' email about coffee promo, I think that Jan 29-Feb 4 would be good? We can get a PO drawn up once we decide

-took aids gala off everything

-Did the bulletin board :)

-I was about to submit the PO, but we saw that you put quanitity as 1 for the pack of 12 tape, but then you multiplied the unit price by 12? So is it one pack of 12, or 12 of ).72 cents each? I left it there for you to clarify

-I'm having a tough time figuring out how much time to allot for each thing :S She wants a draft of what next week will be like for us. If you email us what you can do I will do so when I get home and hopefully my agenda will be there. Keep in mind the lunch on Tuesday from 12-2

-I started to make a banner for CAD, but I think it would look nicer if we legit got it printed in colour at underground

-Basil never showed for the ticket. It is in the top locked drawer with their raffle slip.

-Snowflakes are at the desk to decorate, theres management ones here for us to do too. Mine's pretty bomb.
Nov 30 (Athena)
- filled out the stuff for Framed; Debbie has the cheque rec and the contract. I didn't realize we had to take off the HST (She said to check the email we have). I thought the HST thing was for external groups only, but Debbie said its for anyone thats not an MSU club. Oops.

- PO signed and filled out but I didnt get a chance to submit it before I was locked out of the office. Its in the loose folder.

- Re-did the december powerpoint. I actually put so much effort into it lol :( boo. Its called december2 in the powerpoint folder if you end up wanting to use it. I used pretty backgrounds!

- There were some extra banners and random links/words where some of the advertising had been taken down from the website, I took that away.

- The basil person (yukyuks winner) finally emailed us back. Hopefully they will come to see you today.

- No word from Anne

- Katherine came yesterday and picked up the canfar tickets.

- forgot what else.
