okay so here are updates

CNE:

I have filled out contract, and their consignment form, faxed it over. In his email he said they would send the tickets as on over-night courier or something. So hopefully they're here tomorrow. Go heavy on advertising as soon as we have them. Because we only have until Aug 15 to sell them.

Uniforms:

I have talked to Michelle about them, she said her artist will be in tomorrow, so he'll draw up the artwork for the 4 manager hoodies. But don't worry about anything, I will come in do the POs on Monday.

LOST PRESTO CARDS

so i have just realized something, if a customer has lost their card and comes to buy a new one, do not put the student discount on it right away, ask if they want their money from old card to be transferred first

putting the student discount on the card actually blocks the money from being transferred, so be sure to ask if they're getting a transfer before you put discount on the card

Dana - Wed IC shift - Compass Information Sheets

I emailed around a dozen offices on campus about putting compass information sheets in their offices for students to take.. So far thees are the responses we got:

International Student Services
- Loves the idea, liked the information sheet I sent them, they want 450 copies. I told them I would have to wait to speak with my manager first before confirming that number, and then I will drop them off at their office.
- They also invited us to be a part of their international student services orientation presentation on Saturday August 7th. They said we can present for 5-10 minutes, or we can send them slides to go through on our behalf. I told them I'd be happy to meet with the person who will be presenting our slides for us so that they know what to say and are comfortable with all the information (they like the idea of meeting to review the slides and what to say). So its up to us whether we want to go and present on Saturday for 5-10 minutes or have them go through the slides for us.

Association for Part-Time Students (MAPS)
- Loves the idea too. They would like us to drop some off at their office for students to take (they didn't say what number they would like so it's up to us).
- They noted that they really liked the information sheet I sent them because it had transportation services at the top which is great because part-time students don't qualify for the U-Pass and thus have to rely on other types of transportation services.

Graduate Students Association
- They are taking the information sheet I sent them and they are putting it on their website, as well as posting it in their office.

i emailed coach canada and greyhound again to ask if either of them have made a decision on if they will participate in the promotional idea (the one that involved the free trip home for a student). hopefully they reply sometime monday/tuesday

i called pauline and left her a phone msg (and i emailed her) about the computer.

GO update

To promote our Niagara and Barrie seasonal service, Marketing has put together what is called a flyer wrap. Essentially, it's a cover in which weekly flyers are inserted into, within a community newspaper. The flyer wraps are going out this week/weekend and then again week of August 8.

As you will see in the attached, it includes something that looks like a 'coupon'.  The coupon uses the marketing tactic that 'kids ride free' with 2 paying adults. They wanted to intrigue families with this 'offer'.  It's no different than the usual group pass.  The hope was customers would cut it out, bring it to buy a group pass, and station attendants could hang onto those coupons so they can judge the effectiveness of the ad.

Marketing has asked us to provide them with a count of how many coupons are submitted.  Would you please send a brief email to myself, copying Ken Potter, at the end of week (Sunday July 21^st andSunday August 11^th) totalling their agency location’s full weekly coupon count.

**** Sabbu, I emailed her back and asked if the customer has to buy an all day pass or a single pass, when she replies add that specification to the post i made for the CSRs on their journal. 
i asked because on the coupon it said "unlimited travel for one day between two locations" or something along those lines which made me question it. 

meeting with teddy

so he basically said that he thought he could get us in during the opening ceremonies, but he had a meeting today and talked to some ppl and thinks the opening ceremony won't be possible for us.

he did mention sidewalk sale, so maybe we can set up a table then if it works into our schedule. we'll talk more about it next week.

Wednesday, July 17 - IC SHIFT

Hello, so here are updates for today

I called Michelle and told her about the uniforms, Cody has already emailed us the sizing and I've saved the file in our IC account under the file "uniforms"

so once they draw up a design, we'll approve it and have debbie approve it and make sure Wooder is okay with it as well and then get the production started for that.

i've also told her we're gonna be ordering four manager hoodies, with our name and position on the sleeve. i've messaged cody and josh asking what they want - like last name or first name. you also decide what you would like and let me know. 

stress balls have arrived and are in the cupboard, as things arrive do your best to put them away, if not just leave it for an IC shift and we'll take care of it then.

i've re-wrote the advertising contract with the changes and i'll talk to debbie about it once shes back.

oh and for rec, keep trying to get in touch with pauline, emma said she had today booked off, so hopefully shell be in tomorrow and she can figure out what the hell is wrong with our computer. marn broke into debbie's office today so i could get the reports. so if needed just ask her again tomorrow lol

OSC slide

hey i created a OSC slide with the some info on it from the voucher and with the prices on it. please add it to the powerpoint and start advertising it, debbie wants to start today, im bringing down the ticjets later i believe. ill make sure the RMS in programed

Neither of them are answering their phones still so I emailed them as well. I'll continue calling throughout the day.

I have a meeting with underground set up for 1:30

I emailed wooder to confirm a specific time for our meeting. earlier when i asked he was on his way out for a meeting and wasnt sure what time exactly he would be able to meet us. when he replies ill let u know when to expect us!

tara walker (magnets) isnt answering her phone either but ill try caling again in a bit to find out 1) process for putting magnets in common areas and 2) the number we should order.

i emailed teddy saull (he is in charge of the meetings for the residence buildings), we are trying to set up a meeting.it may end up being on next wednesday when your in the office. ill let you know if thats what ends up happening

debbie is okay with whatever number of pens we order as long as we are in our budget, and as long as we have our year planned out so that we have money for advertising and printing in the future. we dont wanna max out our budget atm.  im looking at the PO's individually that you have saved and the total amount youve signed off for so far is: $1642 meaning we have 2058 remaining. From what i saw in the emailed your looking to spend $503 for 1500 pens with michael, i think thats a good number! that will leave us a safe amount of $1555 for the rest of the year.

what do you think?

I am still calling parrish and lana every like 15 minutes haha, eventually someone will answer.

also, as soon as you get a number from debbie and the okay from her let the china guy know so he can get started on the number

and before you do give him the okay to start production make sure Parrish is okay with us joining his order. and find out how he wants us to pay for our pens, so we can fill out a PO right away

UNIFORMS

- I have told underground to hold up on designing our shirts cus they're just overpriced and I'm not really feeling it
-I'm thinking I'm just gonna have the battlefield's designer fix it up
- but you're gonna have to go see Michael Wooder when youre in Wednesday, call me before you go and we'll talk about what you have to ask him - once you talk to him I'll call Michelle and get the ball rolling on our uniforms

PROMOTIONAL ITEMS

- our items have been ordered, I have filled out separate POs for all of them so that's done

BANNER PENS

- Parrish emailed us yesterday saying that we wouldnt get the same price even if we piggy backed on his order
- I asked him for the contact information of their supplier, but of course he hasn't gotten back to us yet
- me and debbie still think we should go ahead with ordering the banner pens cus we already got it designed and wooder is willing to share the cost with us
-i'm gonna email the other girl Parrish works with and hopefully get the supplier's contact info, then if you can during your next couple shifts order our pens for us - for quantity I wanted 1000 originally, but talk to the supplier and see what the price would be like if we ordered more - he said 0.40 for 1000 - so just check out the prices
-I wanna get this order in ASAP, cus I'm pretty sure I remember Parrish saying the dudes in China, so its gonna take a while for them to get here, and I want them for Welcome day

MACQUEST/OLYMPICS

- we still have time for these events, but I'm gonna leave you in charge you of those since youre gonna be running them

okay thas good, so is she gonna email the number of magnets? that's all we're waiting on now, we just need the number and then i'll make the order - she said she needs to wait until next tuesday when her boss gets back. she said she would do inventory to get a rough number this week tho for her supervisor to approve or whatever when he/she gets back. i think you should call her (tara) on friday to see if she has that rough number tho (i dont think she's too reliable since she never emailed me all the info after the meeting like she was supposed to).. so call her on friday to see if she did the inventory during the week like she mentioned she would try doing. on tuesday give them a call and ask for the final number (her supervisor may not be able to review it tho on her first day back, so on wednesday ill call again if she tells you her supervisor was too busy). its almost 5 so im rushing, text me if this didn't make sense and ill try to explain better!
and for sleeves - when do we need to give him design by? did he say a date or anything? - earlier i asked you if you wanted me to contact underground today to start the design, you said you'd talk to debbie first. so i've been waiting for you to get back to me.

welcome day

I've drawn up a questionnaire for Welcome day for the students, I'll have Debbie look it over to finalize it. we can print them later tho, we still have like a month till Welcome day.

magnets and welcome week assembly

magnets
- called tara walker
- her supervisor is on vacation until next tuesday so she can't get an inventory number for us until then. she is going to do inventory this week for us, confirm it with her supervisor when he/she gets back, and then let us know how many. she has a meeting with her supervisor and they think it would be a good idea for us to do the magnets, so its a go!

welcome week assembly for residence buildings
- our contact is teddy saull. i got his email, he has he same supervisor as tara.
- ill email him and ask about the possibility of being incorporated into the assembly's

sleeves

- my mistake we hadn't picked the exact dates we just estimated for now until we settled on what we want.
- we are going to do 2 separate weeks in 1st term (first term he has his highest sales)
- he is choosing the exact dates right now, he's going to call me back as soon as he decides
- he is ordering boxes today, so we can choose how many we want to pay him back for (he orders them, we pay him the cost of the amount we want). Price: $50.70 a box, there is 1300 sleeves per box. He reccommended 4 boxes total (2 per week). He said thats a safe number to ensure we don't run out by friday, thats how many boxes he goes through a week during first term.

- put a note on all the CW SD sheets stating "office closes at 4:30pm - all orders must be in before this time"
- krystin in out of the office btw from the 5-7th and the 12-16th ! so we can go through lana
- i checked all the phone msgs. i think i deleted them all, just incase i didn't and you end up going through them, delete any that are dated as being recieved before today.

i wanted to get a move on with the our swag order - so have we heard anything about the residence magnets? (so i know how many to order) - order whenever you'd like, I'm waiting for that girl to send us the information still unfortunately. I'll call her today, if she doesnt answer ill email her

and also did you fill out the form for the residence screens? I didn't fill it out because i wanted debbie to review it, go ahead and fill it out tho. i was thinking of displaying in all residence buildings that are listen on the sheet, and we can put the duration for a month each.. and each month we send them a new one to put up thats updated.

and for union market coffee sleeves, did you book the weeks? or whats going on with that? he's good with any week. he emailed us the weeks he wanted to use. check the emails, ill call him now tho and double check with him!

hellooo!

- made the contract for Mack to pick up (for lacrosse). its ready for pick up once debbie signs off on it. i put the tickets (in the envelope) in a folder in the cabnet outside debbies office.
- updated the website and the powerpoint for the next lacrosse game on the 20th this month
,- i took the $30 group sale for CW off the RMS and told debbie the number on the RMS. The 40$ CW group rate is in the RMS and is ready to go.
- i saw that the city pass slide that i made was hidden. leave it unhidden. debbie wants to advertise that slide.
- i threw out all the 41's that are behind the dest and on the wall, i looked in the storage room but didn't see any (unless i missed some hinding under other schedules).
