Things are looking great!
Hi Ozi,
Things are looking like they're coming along very well with all of the swag. Too bad Mark is away this week so that we cannot make a final decision with him but as long as we know he is interested and we give Dana the break down of price/quantity then it should be simple for her to finish that off. We will have to let her know how much of our budget we would like to spend on the phone wallets- I am all for spending a significant amount on them. Also, are the key chains with 1280 still happening? I didn't see them mentioned in your last post!

-Aths n Rec said they will support phone wallets and asked for breakdown. Sent to Mark but he is off for the week so have to leave that for Dana to handle.

-Paid underground for info sheets, sticker and flyer
-Emailed Brenda about update on bus stop after calling again and got no response.
-Dropped of info sheet and flyer at conference services
-Updated GO display board downstairs and the one by the elevator for Canada day theme.
-Sent Michelle swag choice and will finalize payments tomorrow: lip balm, hand sanitizer and buttons

-Met with Sharita from Campus Events. She seems only interested in the beach balls. Called Jay to see if the logo space can be bigger.
-Emailed Sandeep at CFMU for possible meeting next week
-Talked to Mike Wooder, so we now have the week of 11- 18 Sept for coffee sleeves promo
-Talked to Mike Beattie, our video isn't ready but he is working on it now.
-Emailed HC Roller girls about picking up their ticket from June 13th game.
-Left a voicemail for Brenda to inquire about Megabus bus stop.
-Put up poster at Shuttle bus shelter
-Emailed Tara( campus spotlight) to see if there are any MSU services we can piggyback on to share the board with them...we missed the email and all spaces have been booked
-Gave Mike Beattie a copy of the summer flyer to put on the MSU website homepage with a link to our event page for details

It looks like things are going great and that you are getting a TON done for us, thank you for that! I am sorry that I cannot be involved more than I am.
So for swag items, let me know when people finalize their decisions on cross promoting with us, that is really all that we have to wait for so we can figure out costs and amounts that we can budget for.
Has Mike Beattie finished our video to send to Josh for the Clubs training manual? I would love to see it if you have it.
Alessia had emailed me (I think you were in the same email too) about confirming the training dates in September. I emailed her back and just told her I needed to clarify that MacQuest wasn't on Wednesday September 2nd, as I think that we should both be at the table for that event considering we may get a large group and have to split them up into two (we would each talk to one). -Emailed Krystin to get go ahead for summer flyer (because of wonderland logos we need her approval)
-Met with Jen 1280. She's definitely in for the beach balls. We also talked about working on the hand sanitizer together. We could give them hand sanitizer to give out since they are a food service place. When they direct people to compass to buy tickets that would be great promotions. Shes also interested in the guitar shaped key ring.
-Emailed Go rep about flyers for adverts and about donations towards our phone wallet swag item.
-Jay from BigTree will get back to me for beach ball if we can have 4 prints, if we can do 2 sides of the guitar key ring and if they have a larger size of the hand sanitizer.Will hear back from Michelle. talked to her about our questions as well.

Swag items- thoughts

Here are my thoughts regarding SWAG items.
Bottle Opener:
I think that this is a great idea so long as we are getting the magnetic one! I think that it would be good advertising as people could put it on their fridge in res, or at home and constantly be seeing it. It would be great if Campus Events would cross promote on this with us. I know that Al had been the one to give us the idea, so maybe he is interested. The price for the magnetic bottle opener was for 500 of them.
$1.33 x 500 + $55.00= $720.00
If we were to split this with Campus events then it would be cost effective and beneficial for us.
Phone Wallets:
Hopefully Mark can make a final decision in regards to these phone wallets on Friday and let us know by Monday. I would like to get these regardless of whether or not he would like to cross promote with us. If he chooses to do so, I think that we should get a larger quantity and do give aways during the football season as well as other sporting events (if we have much to do with them).
I can not see the email with the prices of these phone cases but I remember writing the amount in a saved draft of the purchase order form! It may be saved onto the desk top or it is saved under our file on the shared drive.
Lip Balm:
Once again, I would like to proceed with this SWAG item regardless of cross promotions. If someone (1280, or Mark) would like to cross promote that would be awesome but if I recall correctly, theses were fairly cheap!
Hand Sanitizer:
This item is also fairly cheap. We could get the pricing and then ask WW coordinators or Mike Wooder if he would like to cross promote somewhere on this or if he knows anyone who would like to. I think that this compliments our lip balm quite well. We might as well get the 1.0oz bottle as it is only $0.10 more than the bottle half its size. This will also depend on how much we have left in our budget for promo.

The buttons are a SWAG item that I think we should keep solely to ourselves. They are inexpensive and small so we could really only fit our logo on them! I say keep it simple for this, if we are doing navy as our themed colour, make the buttons navy with white print so it stands out! Make the logo as large and as clear as possible for the size of the button. We should get a large quantity of these. 1000 or more?
If 1280 isn't interested in the thunder sticks I think we should hold off, also depending on our budget even if they are interested we might have to let that one go. Like Mark had said, they do not have lasting value so are fairly useless for continuous promoting.

All sounds good to me! Hopefully today you can go ahead with ordering the uniforms and such and then move forward to ordering swag.
I really like the idea of the bottle opener and the hand-sanitizer. I think both of these will go a long way and work better than say, the thunder sticks.
If 1280 hasn't gotten back to us about the thunder sticks then I think we should scrap them and maybe we can ask them to cross with us on another item or we could ask 1280 and Campus events if all three of us could go on the beach ball seeing that lots of events include all three of our services?
